    FUCK! Host just upgraded to php 5... without letting me know!

    Ugh... an old host I still had some sites on just upgraded to php 5... breaking all my (very old) scripts. They didn't even send an email up front. Gotta recode several sites now, and while I do that, they're all kinda broken

      damn dude that sucks...

      i dont neccessarily buy web hosting, ive always had my own server colocated, much easier to avoid bullshit like that

          purchase a host that offers older php so u can upgrade them? Just take out a monthly plan.
          Hell there are lots of free hosts you can use that offer php and mysql support.
