Content Management System - Oyster?
I run a successful paysite but it takes me ages to do all the weekly updates as I currently handcode them all in HTML. I would love to get a CMS system to organise and schedule all the updates for me as well as giving me the ability to easily build and submit FHGs to other TGP type sites to increase our traffic.
Can anyone suggest a suitable program? I was speaking with someone who worked for another successful paysite the other day and he mentioned they were just moving to Oyster for their Content Management but I have never heard of it and can't find anything on Google about it? Any suggestions guys would be much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie |
I have MAS on it's been running the site for years now. Great software. There is a learning curve with it, but Mansion has a nice team of support people to help you. The price can be a little shocking... but you'll more than make up for it with the time you can save.

MAS is probably the greatest piece of software we have ever purchased. To say it will save you time and money is an understatement.
Look at it this way, you will be able to go to the beach and not worry about updates etc because MAS will do it for you. Imagine having a full time employee for a one off fee. |
Do you mean Oystein, the guy who works for Mansion Productions?
|
Maybe, I am not sure - it was a verbal conversation and the guy only mentioned it in passing. Does MAS have a website I can look at (and thanks for your help guys, you're the best) :-)

MAS is excellent software and their staff can do custom modules for your needs if need be for a reasonable fee.

I'd recommend checking out Carma by TMM, http://www.toomuchmedia.com/products/carma/
Too Much Media is superior in support and their product is more innovative, using today's technologies with a very intuitive User Interface.. Definitely worth a look.. Plus you'll find more 3rd party developers who can help you customize it. |
I'm using Carma for my sites and I have to say I've been very happy with it. TooMuchMedia's support has been top shelf.
Any issue I've had has been easily remedied and in a timely manner. They do a bang up job over there. I think the most difficult time I had with TMM was talking to a sales person, everything after that has been great. Which if I had to choose, I would take that over the opposite in having over zealous sales and no support after they take your money. not that i'm suggesting anyone who possibly posted just a little bit before me would do such a thing... at all |
