Someone from SPACASH.com, inside... right fucking now!

We need to yap about why my content is being used to promote one of your sites, without permission. (that means it's stolen)

I've sent some ICQs to you guys, but GFY seems to get people to respond a little quicker.

What's up?

Evil1 07-27-2007 12:52 AM

owh! Drama?

bobby666 07-27-2007 12:54 AM

Hmm. Because one of their affiliates is a thief? Just a rough guess.

Iron Fist 07-27-2007 12:56 AM

Anyone bring popcorn?

I don't see a true aff ref code in there. Do you? Maybe I'm wrong.

Mr. Cool Ice 07-27-2007 01:06 AM

Mr Romance, you have ICQ with details. We need to take care of this with a quickness.

It's pretty obvious... the affiliate code is tour02.

that looks more like a code to direct it to tour 2, not a affiliate code. :2 cents:

So, they they have a 'tour=1' in the URL and 'account=tour02' is the code to direct it to tour2? :error

Whether you believe it or not... tour02 is the affiliate code. You just need to look at other spacash linking codes and you will see it...

SmokeyTheBear 07-27-2007 02:22 AM

torrent sites are giving everyones content away for free while sites like AFF are cleaning up..

take a number

Not surprising... I have been trying to get in touch with them for 2 days myself... well not trying... more like waiting for a reply.

It must be National I-Don't-Give-A-Fuck month in Uruguay.

SPACASH is fast moving up my list of worst companies to deal with.

COMMENTARY:

This is a perfect example of why the 3rd world will always be the 3rd world. I mean, SPACASH is a very wealthy company (especially in a country where the monthly salary of a WELL paying job is less then $400.00) but the work ethic and the mentality of the people in Uruguay is horrible. These people refuse to work.

It amazes me to no end...

Wow, talk about generalization! We have a whole crew working in Uruguay (so am I) and we've never had a problem.

Customer support emails are answered within hours, ICQs are handled immediately, and everyone in here works at least 8 hours. If they choose to, they can work more. I work at least 10 hours per day out of pure pleasure, because I like it. Our head programmer does the same. Even if I leave for a week to go to Internext things keep running smoothly and I plug in anywhere I can.

I used to work at SPACash and I know work also gets done there.

I'm not a uruguayan myself, but I can tell you that it is nothing like you described it, fr0gman.

Pardon my spanglish but, what a crock of caca!

I have sent multiple ICQ messages to BOTH ICQ numbers listed on your website. Would you like to guess how many "instant: replies I have gotten? That right: NONE. I can post the one-sided logs if you like. I can also post the multiple emails that I have sent that have gone unanswered. Bottom line is: You guys have a very good service with marginal customer support. Accept it, deal with it, improve it, but don't come off like some super-efficient customer service machine.

My statements about employees in UY are based on personal experience and if you live/work there and can honestly and publicly deny that the 3rd world mentality is anythign more than lazy and unconcerned then you are living in a dream world.

This board is filled with threads just like this about almost every company out there. Affiliates can't get sponsors to deal with problems and after several contact attempts they get mad and post a drama thread. The sponsors then reply with a "We are great and we have done nothing wrong reply". Sponsors should just get a PR reply bot to handle the threads on GFY and leave the actual customer service replies to people that can handle them.

You should have used the time that you wasted defending yourself in this thread to reply to my messages in the first place.

I would appreciate it is you could get someone to simply contact me on ICQ as I requested.

EDIT:

GhostCash Rush,

I just realized that you don't even work for SPACASH... please STFU!

pelcito 08-09-2007 10:33 PM

fr0gman,

Im not sure who you tried to contact, but Gerard is the only one in charge of the SPACash support at this moment, and as you may know he´s from the states.

As far as i know from him about this issue he told this webmaster to stop promoting spacash with other program content and after not receiving response from this affiliate in many days, we finally decide to ban him.

Whatever you need, im here to help. :thumbsup

pelcito 08-09-2007 10:38 PM

The delay in replies is not something normal, we always try to reply our affiliates as soon as possible and actually we have many affiliates very happy with our support.

Please contact me on ICQ to hear more about this. This will help me to identify the communication problems on this issue.

I have been sending you messages with no reply asking what the status was. It was the hosting company that finally got the content pulled, I gave up on you guys. :Oh crap

However, thanks for finally getting to it, I do appreciate it.
Late is better than never. But may I suggest keeping up with messages to let people know what's going on next time, as I was about to launch a full on "spacash supports content theft" campaign tomorrow! Good timing.

I am happy to know that SpaCash.com DOES NOT support content theft. :thumbsup

That is how it should be done. One thieving webmaster at a time gets served. :2 cents:

Thanks for the support. :thumbsup

I did not make any reference to the main issue of the thread. I just pointed out a generalization that I thought was incorrect and unfair. I'm sorry I wasted your time.

3rd time I see SpaCash accused of stealing content in less than 1yr...
Glad I decided not to promote them so far and I'm now definately striking them out of my future potential sponsors list....

The other threads you mentioned were cases where ONE picture was used by mistake out of MILLIONS they have

to top it off the affiliate wa sbanned when notified , what else did you expect ?
