Vegas Video 6.0 and .TOD Files?????

I have Vegas Video 6, and a new JVC HD Everio the mini hand held one.

Do I need a plugin to make Vegas Video see the .TOD files????

What if anything can I use to capture?

I can put the file to my HD, and the program that came with it, will convert it to an AVI, but the AVI wont load in Vegas Video, only the sound
