Golf huh thats cool so does it run you by the month or year for a membership?

Cyndalie 07-25-2007 12:08 PM

$10 for lunch
$10 for misc stuff like juice, gum, a bagel, magazine, milk, get my hub cigs, etc

I bring breakfast to work (fruit).
I eat dinner at home with my hubby at the table almost every night. Meat, vegies, and a carb. Doesn't cost much and It's really good.

Trying to keep costs down cause we're saving up for something big. Staying healthy while doing it is key.

Only addiction I have is smoking, so thats 5$ daily for a pack of cigs.

Add 10$ for gas, about 20$ for food, clothes and other stuff and thats about it I guess

Lets say 50$ max.

Above the bare necessities such as food, clothing and shelter I'd say $10-$20 a day. I consider my cigars as a 'bare necessity'.

What kind do you smoke?

MaDalton 07-25-2007 04:47 PM

the combination of $20 for booze and $10 for gas makes me frown

potter 07-25-2007 05:03 PM

If you go day to day. Maybe $5-10/day. If you average in a what's spent a week divided by seven. It's more like $20-25/day. There are certain nights that are more expensive than others.

GreyWolf 07-25-2007 05:10 PM

Never noticed how much I spend - but sure is not much on a daily basis. Whatever is needed is drawn from the ATM, but too busy working to waste time on shit.

PS For half that $20 on booze, you'd be flat on your back here *lol* Booze is relatively cheap.

Totally agree :winkwink::thumbsup

If the cigar supply starts running low a panic sets in :) But cigars cost little - two carrier bags cost about $40.

really?
what do you have in mind for drinks then?

bausch 07-25-2007 05:35 PM

Usually I spend $0 on gas because I don't leave my house very often, I work from home. I only drive to the bank and grocery store once in a GREAT While.

Today it looks like I'm spending $0, I just woke up at 5:30 pm and looks like it's going to be night time soon, nowhere to go and nothing to buy. I am too lazy to leave my house at this time. I got food in the fridge. I don't smoke and drink. I am good to go.

Most of the time I don't wake up early enough in order to actually leave my house in order to spend something.
By the time I wake up it's usually night time and I have nowhere to go at night.

Can't say I noticed the cost of booze much, but can remember a "sample" bar bill where three people were present. The booze for the evening and snacks came to about $15.

Tho.. agree, depending which country you are in, the same thing can cost $50-$60. One of the last meals I had in the EU (and this was a very "ordinary" meal) cost about $60/head.

he-fox 07-25-2007 05:55 PM

I get everything free in CR.

Peaches 07-25-2007 06:21 PM

I haven't had a budget in years and it's something I REALLY need to work on getting into place again. :( I honestly have no idea what I even spend a MONTH on food/gas/entertainment.

$20 a day for booze isn't bad if you're drinking 1/2 a bottle of $40 red wine every day :)
