Yes and i doubt many people will copy and paste half assed urls or type them in the browser. Ofcourse some will but i think there are better ways to make money.

if youtube and myspace were smart, they would just sign to all programs that have spam links and switch out the codes. that would teach all the losers that ruin sites like that to spam their shit there.

I emailed GoogTube about pre-emptively blocking these comments (I only have a few vids uploaded and every fucking one of them gets spammed within a few minutes of each other, repeatedly) but just got back a canned reply. Not surprised really.

I get the same, and I delete them as fast as I can.

i just mean for them to combat the spam. either sign up to the programs that the affils are spamming and switch out the code to theirs for credit (since they shouldnt be spamming there anyhow), or simple, just delete every comment automatically that contains a link.

They spam kids videos. Personally I think they should be shot. Straight forward execution.

They're not links, but with "camznow dot com" mentioned in the comments of 141,000 vids I'm sure he gets a fair bit of typein traffic...

It's not just youtube that gets spammed. There are 1.2 million (!!!) Google results for the phrase "camznow dot com"

kids are not allowed to sign up for youtube, if they did that means they lied about their birth date

also kids a very irritating and I'm thinking of starting "smack a kid" campaign where people can walk on the street and smack kids on the heads at random. I'll make sure to post the videos on youtube.

there are NO urls allowed to be posted in the comments so people post the urls like "mysite dot com" so its a bit difficult to filter ALL the variations co z if they ban "mysite dot com" spammers will simply switch to say "my site do t co m" or any of the 20 million possible combinations


also how exactly is Google going to switch my ref code to theirs???? they'll have to hack mysite.com coz nobody is posting sponsor.com?id=1234 in the comments

I doubt anyone makes any serious money with youtube spam. But then again I never thought anyone would be stupid enough to pay to get into an adult dating site when there are free ways like myspace and such. :2 cents:

I have actually been replying to you continously - the last message I got from you was at 3:03pm est and have sent you 6 messages since with no response.

It's a lot worse than that, my fairly humble set of 4 or 5 vids gets spammed once or twice per day...... every day. I changed the comments to approval only because there's something like 10 spams per 1 real comment. I'll check them maybe once a week and enable the legitimate ones.

Overall Google results for that domain name are also down from over 1 mil to only about 40k.

Looks like there's been a wholesale cleanup by YouTube and Google... perhaps that explains why the domain is now parked and effectively dead :)

I was just complaining about this last night. Do they really get anyone to bit when they send casino spam to a YouTube account?

As long as youtube accepts text comments then there isn't really any way to stop this. Like someone said earlier, there are tons of different ways to type your domain as text.
