Anyone use Comcast for cable modem in South FL?
 

I am moving soon, and where I want to go, there is no Bellsouth/At&T DSL like I have now. How is Comcast cable working for you guys? Fast, reliable? I used to have a cable modem in NJ years ago, and it was really fast.

Comcast sucks in SWFL... I switched to Embarq(Sprint) ADSL

I live in downtown fort lauderdale. I use Comcast and I have never had any problems.

Same here have it in Parkland it works fine.

South Florida here and use comcast, works fine for me

they bought out this guy I knows shitty cable internet firm and it seems better now

Does anyone know if peer-to-peer clients like UTorrent work thru Comcast cable or do they have it blocked somehow? There's a couple of foreign tv show episodes that I can't get any other way. :-)

Comcast broadband in broward is about 8mps.

Up until about a month ago, mine worked great all the time.... Now it seems about once a week i have a half a day of outage, but the Att/Bellsouth DSL I had before I switched really sucked donkey balls...

They are beginning to offer the 20meg from Verizon in certain parts of Broward, so I would check that out 1st as 20meg down and 8up for under $100 a month can't be beat... :pimp
