Porn Tube Site (how to) please help

I would like to start up a tube porn site.
I need someone to help guide me in the right directions to accomplish this.
I would like the following on my site:
Front page 18+ only enter/exit.
New videos
Channels
Upload
Search
Top rated
Banners to dating/sexual toys

I also need to know what is the best video player out there.I dont want one where the video has to load and buffer slow!
I want one where the video plays through smoothe!
Also at the end of each video I want the link clickable to the sponsor for the surfer!

Also What scripts could accomplish this entire package?

I will need sponsors who can provide video content in mins from 1 to 10 with clips(approved)I am not looking to make a torrent site just a good tube site.

If you have any info on how I can do this let me know.

P.S. I am also in the U.S. and I am not sure if I can legally make a site like this because of all the new 2257 propaganda. What would be my best route here?(especially with surfers uploading homemade clips).

Thanks in advance.

Are you kidding? You're basically asking someone to write a version of YouTube for you. I think your pricing is going to start around 10k, but could be considerably more if you want something capable of scaling to YouTube-like proportions.

find a youtube clone script, and update the design of it. should do what you need.

good luck with bandwidth costs

Sure, tell you what: you get someone to build a YouTube clone that can scale (let's keep it simple and say it only needs to handle 10 visitors/second) for $50, and I'll reimburse you the cost ;)

I'm speaking as a programmer--the amount of work that goes into making a *quality* site is immense! You can't hire someone from rent-a-coder and expect anything of quality with a tiny budget; programmers with any skill aren't going to work for peanuts. You're only hope would be to find someone who's mass-marketing a video-serving framework, but then you're not going to have a unique site. When thousands of adult versions of YouTube crop up, what is going to be special about yours that will keep visitors coming back?

Do yourself a favor Jack N' Box and listen to donkevlar !!!!

Check out http://www.clip-share.com/ ( $99.00 - $199.00 )

Buy some content then display such using this program as to sell or as a extra to your visitors...

Best of luck,

how much traffic can that script possibly handle though?

Babaganoosh 07-26-2007 08:50 PM

The cost of the scripting to run a site like that is negligible compared to the cost of bandwidth. Even a slightly popular site will eat more bandwidth than you can possibly imagine.

hdkiller 07-27-2007 02:41 AM

Wah :)

10k is not enough for that.

We started to build up a tube site with original in house development engine. So i can write poems about it. It's fun. We have five people working on the project and it's really exciting. But costs a lot and you have to wait for the turnover.

The script is one thing, the bandwidth is an another tricky thing, and for the high end servers you are need black magick.

Ok now you got a site start promoting. Do you know how? Do you have the budget for developing, maintraining doing support etc?

Or! U can just upload your porn to http://www.hardsextube.com :> and get away from the tube business unless you have an office with people working already.

Btw! If you read this thread, now you know we are doing a serious business here with the tube sites, so if you would like to get closer to us and know some tubesecrets, hit us on icq, or join or irc chat!

PS: I did not sleept well around a week becouse of server / software problems. Choose an another way to earn money!! :>

Porn Tube Help

It would make more sense for you to ask in a web designer forom how to make a video sharing site and don't mention the porn part.

I will second Aidan Trent's message. To program a youtube clone from scratch that is capable of scaling to large proportions is very difficult and expensive.

You need extremely powerful servers and ridiculous amounts of bandwidth. 10K is not such a ridiculous price at all. It's fairly reasonable.

You cannot really think that a $50 script will do everything you want it to once the site starts growing. Sure, for you and your friends, and a couple hundred visitors per month it might be fine, but you need to realize that the script has to transcode from mpg/mov/avi/etc to flash video (very hardware intensive), and each of these videos will be about 10MB each. A single server cannot handle very much traffic at that rate, which means distributed computing/clustering/load balancing.

But go ahead, try one of those YouTube clones... you'll see for yourself :)

If you're on a budget and want to do some video sharing you can give Nuke Video a shot (google it, I can't post links yet cuz Im a noob here still). It's only $29 and works fine for a small to medium size site. Just be sure to secure your nuke site with Nuke Sentinel cuz there's a ton of fuckin hackers out there just cruzin to fuck up your site. ya, they're are like all 12 years old but they have tons of free time. anyhow, good luck with your venture...
