Sounds more like you want to replace existing code with new code if I read you right. Problem with that would be having the program accurately identify which code needs to be replaced.

If you truly mean just adding html code after the body tag that is a cakewalk and could be put together pretty easy.

Easiest way I can think of to do it is the find and replace (advanced) in dreamweaver. Do a search for "<body>" replace with "<body> your code" in folder (subfolders too if checked.) Do a test on a few before doing the whole shebang. That should do it though.

PS God hates you.

Just 1 file? Why not just edit it? I think I am confused here. (wouldn't be the first time)

Try using UltraEdit-32 or DreamWeaver (as Theo pointed out)

This is a good example of why freelance software projects fail. Half assed forum request with half assed specs.

I'll do it for $2 bucks and it'll take 15 minutes.

Oh wait - now you want a server app that parses directories and makes changes to some files rather than any app that replaces a <body> tag with a <body> tag plus text.

I have a great idea...

Spec out your project before you post crap and waste people's time.

I'm not taking on additional work at the moment.

Sorry -- your post just caught my eye and allowed me to vent a bit. It wasn't personal. Good luck finding someone to take on the project.
