3 weeks without a smoke now.
My mind is playing tricks on me. It actually seems to be getting more difficult sometimes.
Then again, I've stopped counting days and started counting weeks; that's a good sign. My wife quit too. It's going to be great for us. |
4.5 years here. It took me awhile, but its not that painful anymore.
|

Good for you. You're better off without it.
|
Keep it up,you can do it
|
about 2 years here. You've got another week before you're safe, don't fall for the old "I'll just have one when I'm drinking" trap!
I hear a lot of people say the cravings never go away - luckily for me, that's not true. I smoked a pack a day for about 14 years and I don't have the slightest desire to ever stick one of those disgusting things in my mouth again, ever. Keep up the good work man. |
Congrats man.... Good move!
|
Well done on getting this far.
|
Good for you! Congratulations! keep it up! :)

I did 4 days last week . . but then got in a discussion about thai food with some girl and started smoking again . . lol

If you take even one puff, you will be back. So don't do it. It will be all over soon.

Are you using any methods or did ya quit cold turkey? My Hubby had been smoking for 20 some odd years and tried everything to no avail. He finally as a last resort tried chantix and has now been smoke free for 4 months. He said it was the best thing he ever did. Either way, best of luck!:thumbsup |
congrats & keep it up, here's a useful website for that: http://www.quitnet.com/

The first 2 months were hard for me. after that, my cravings became few and far between.
Im approaching the 1 year mark (September) and it's no longer even a problem 99% of the time, I don't even think about them. Hang in there. The hard part is almost over. |
I tried:
hypnosis, gum, patches, and the nicotine inhaler things. 4 unsuccessful attempts. What worked: Willpower and Cold Turkey. |
Good job, keep it up!
Your teeth and gums will thank you! |
Just keep telling yourself......I AM A NON SMOKER!!!!!
|
Yeah weening yourself off will not work.
Gums, or patches just make it worse. You have to stop everything associated all at once. |

One more thing that was essential for me - I quit drinking for that month also. Every time I failed, it was at a weak point after a few drinks. I stayed away from places where people smoke, and I quit doing things that I associated with smoking. Like drinking. Every single time I see a cigarette in someone's mouth now, it just makes me a) disgusted and b) thankful that I kicked that bitch of a habit to the curb. |
Congrats keep up the good work.
|
nice one i cant last 3 hours lol
|
but i did manage no brandy for a week
