I love my world cinema and stuff but every now and then, like most other people, I like to just watch a really good dumb ass film. For me it has to be dumbass but not retarded.

So..what are the best really dumb ass films in your book?

I will start by throwing Revenge of the Nerds into the pot.

Blades of Glory had a few good moments too.

I think it is one of the most original and strange films I have seen.

Is that the one with the popcorn coming out of the doors and windows of his house or was that another of his films?

I remember enough about it but I may be confusing two films.

Original alright. I was sure I wouldn't like this film when my friend gave me an outline of it, but it is much more intelligently made than you'd expect.

Overfall premise --- 4 (or is it five?) guys fresh out of college are a couple of days away from being sent to vietnam, decide to drive 400 miles to "dig up Dom"

Particular attention to the "train-surfing" scene
the bottle rocket fight in the cemetary (very deep moment there)
Jump School (classic, awesome from start to finish)
Decent ending
One of the greatest rock tunes ever recorded plays while the credits are rolling at the end.

I will admit to liking that one a lot more than I thought I would.

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle is a fucking hilarious movie, and the stupid factor is at a 10. Doogie Howser+cocaine+strippers=comedy gold...

In the UK nobody knows what a White Castle is so over here it is called Harold and Kumar Get The Munchies ...I joke you not.

Road House is great, but not really a comedy.

Just saw Beerfest. Good for a few chuckles, but there a couple of classic moments in that movie that made me laugh really, really hard. And I laughed again at the same shit when I saw it the second time. It's making the rounds on cable right now, catch it.

Eurotrip is the same thing...funny here and there overall, but there are 2 or 3 piss your pants funny moments.

Shaun of the Dead is awesome. I have to say that "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" is making it to my top 10 stupid ass movies list...in a good way of course!

I just saw Reno 911 in Miami, and I have to say, I haven't laughed that hard in months.

You'll have to excuse my friend, he's a little slow.

Dumb and Dumber is an intellectual comedy about 2 young adults and their journey across the states in search of Aspen, California. Along the way, the 2 hit rock bottom and learn valuable life lessons as well as discover a snow covered paradise in Aspen.









Also, Boart is a good movie to watch...it is a very funny retardation...is crazy, crazy.

All of the old Full Moon Entertainment movies rocked...Puppet Master, Demonic Toys, Subspecies :thumbsup

It just doesn't have the same dramatic effect without the White Castle :Oh crap

I personally also love the Jackass movies...

Old School, Tomcats, Van Wilder, Scary Movie series and American Pie series

If you want to see a really fucked up movie, definitely 'out there', try "Pink Flamingos" (1972)

There are some good ones out there, but everyone forgot about Undercover Brother.

Dumb and Dumber, Porky's, any of the Smokey and the Bandits, Airplane, Soul Plane, man, there's been so many...

I love those movies...I'm a huge fan of Full Moon Entertainment...it's a toss up between them and Troma as my favorite studios for good bad movies...

Speaking of Troma, I should add Tromeo and Juliet (come on, it has lesbianism, gore, incest, body piercing and Lemmy from Motorhead...)
