Shows in general have been a waste from the start.

Most of the people there are to drunk or stoned to remember who they talked with.

Not going because it is Miami in August . . no other reason

You enjoy seeing the same stuff you knew about years ago being regurgitated at every show - over and over again?? It's like watching repeats of the same movie X times a year for 10 years.

It's not a place to do biz, but can be good to see old faces again.

I haven't gone in years. After seeing how much of a waste my first few were I dropped. I have never looked back. I only got 1 good deal out of my shows, from all of the false promises - bullshit smiles and full on liars that do biz at some of those conventions.

Who the fuck plans a show in Florida (or Arizona or Vegas) in the middle of summer?

How about Hawaii in Demcember or January? Much nicer.

Every show I go to always results in at least one good deal making the whole trip worthwhile. I don't drink or gamble, so I don't waste time or energy with that. Plus the Diplomat is five minutes from my house. :-)

I can make deals over ICQ, but putting faces to the names I do business with makes the experience invaluable :2 cents:

That and I will fly just about anywhere for a good party... who gives a fuck if it's a "waste" :thumbsup

I used to live in Fl and going to Fl in July is no fun. Too damn hot and humid. No point in going unless you want to lose weight.
