Crap, FF updated on me last night.
I had it set to get my approval first, but apparently Firefox got impatient and upgraded on me last night.
I will get used to the new way to close windows, and I can get used to this auto-spell check, but how do I make Alt-S submit posts for me again? Thank you in advance. |
I don't think it will be possible to use that particular key combination, as ALT + S is now the HISTORY shortcut.
I may be wrong, but I don't think default commands can be overwritten |

that is kind of strange that firefox would bypass settings to do the update.. I also noticed this happen on my ff on 2 machines, both i have set to NOT auto-update , yet they did on their own

So, do you know of a way to shortcut the submit process since Alt-S no longer seems to be an option? |
Baddog there is a way to do it I changed it on mine. Ill see if I can find the instructions.

Weird... i usually wake up to mine asking me... I didnt get an update last night that I know of....
Im using a FF theme though so perhaps Im just not getting the same settings n shit.... |
Firefox really pisses me off when it decides to do that. This is not the first time either. I am going down to the local store in a bit to buy a computer mag with a free DVD on with Firefox on it. That version will be the old version. I will totally uninstall this one then see if I can keep the old or if it will just automatically update.

Use the new Firefox specific shortcuts Use the updated Firefox 2 shortcut for web page shortcuts, this is to use SHIFT+ALT and then the web page shortcut you want. So instead of pressing ALT+S you would now press SHIFT+ALT+S. or: Change Firefox to use the shortcuts you were familiar with You can change Firefox 2's web page shortcut key and swap it with the menu shortcut key. This means to Submit in web forms ALT+S would work, and to get to your History menu, SHIFT+ALT+S would be needed. To change the shortcut keys: 1. Enter 'about:config' in the address bar and press enter. 2. Change ui.key.chromeAccess to have a value of: 5 3. Change ui.key.contentAccess to have a value of: 4 |
