Need a good desktop screen video/audio recorder like Camtasia
 

but not so damn expensive.

I've tried two so far, but both are very buggy. Do small tests and video works fine, then go through the 1 hour + presentation and file is not compatible, or the program freezes up.

Any suggestions?

windows media encoder and adobe has some apps that can create flash movies.

I own Hypercam but have run into similar bugs. Thread bookmarked.

Not really if it serves your need but maybe SnagIt would work 'that' long (never tested for that long of a duration)

Snag it if I recall is from the same company as Camtasia...I'm testing camtasia right now and it's a great product.

try windows media encoder
