NYTimes Does 5 Page Article On Ron Paul

Ok, so I wouldn't vote for the man as president, but he does have a lot of ideas that I agree with, and I think he's been adding a very positive dialog to the 2008 election cycle:

It's kinda cute how out of touch he is with popular culture too, never having heard of Comedy Central or GQ Magazine.

he was on both the colbert report and the jon daly show...how old is the article?

oh...it's recent..well he's lying.... :)

The article was published today, and he wasn't lying about having never heard of the Daily Show. If you had actually READ the article before commenting, you'd understand the context. :Oh crap

I thought it was a pretty matter of fact article. The one thing about it that bothered me was the end:

Ron Paul will not be the next president of the United States. But his candidacy gives us a good hint about the country the next president is going to have to knit back together.
As big of a fan of the NYTimes as I am, I'm pretty sure it's not up to them to decide who will or will not be the next president.

I realize he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell, but this ending struck me as inappropriate.

i liked him when i saw him on real time. decent ideas.

Ok.. it isnt as bad as the preview I saw in a Editor & Pulisher article... The 2 last pages seems questionable tho..

Ron Paul has my full support.

The only thing that bothered my at first was that he's anti-abortion. But he thinks deciding that falls under a state-by-state basis, which is what states were intended for to begin with - to offer different lifestyles and laws under one central federal government.

So more 'advanced' states like CA and NY will keep it legal, while redneck bible-belt states can keep it illegal (there arnt abortion clinics in these states anyway because christians have a tendency to bomb them).

But he doesn't push it on other people, and he has a VERY VERY LONG trackrecord of votes in congress to prove it.

Speaking of his trackrecord of votes, he's opposed every single new regulation on the internet - Ron Paul is the adult webmasters best choice to protect our freedom to do business online without government interference! His voting record speaks for itself!

He may not like things, but he will never deny the rights of those to do the things he things is wrong.

Ron Paul is the ONLY person an adult webmaster should even be thinking about voting for. Period. :2 cents:

I really can't picture him as president, but I like alot of the things in his platform.

I like Dennis Kucinich (sp?) But I've always favored radical approaches to fixing things, like...... oh peace for instance as an alternative to war.
