fucked up internet?
 

i recently had a lan here at my house and before it my ping on counterstrike online rarely went over 100 usually between 30-70

now it is more like 500 every time tho sometimes it suddenly drops to 100 but then goes upto 900 or somthing

anyone got any idea why this is?

adsl connection btw

at least you can play sometimes, I ping 900+ all the time with this shitty satellite connection...

the ping of 100 lasts about 2 seconds.. its only while im watching my latency i can tell

make sure you have yourself setup as a T1 on the preferences in the game and NOT 14.4. For a week I had it set to 14.4 by mistake and lagged like hell.
