I don't have testicular cancer!

Here is my story:

About a month ago I had what I would call a dull ache in my balls and I wasn't liking that. I had recently been reading about testicular cancer and so I decided to do a thorough check of my balls. I found a small bump on my right testicle. I'm not sure if it has always been there or not because I never checked before. So I got a little paranoid at the time, but the power of denial overcame my fears of what it might be, and I tried not to think about it. Unfortunately, its the type of thing that you just can't stop thinking about. So I finally got up the courage to go to the doctor and get it checked out. I went today and he told me I had nothing to worry about.

Anyways, in the past few weeks I've read and learned a lot about testicular cancer. All you guys reading this should do regular self-inspections, and if you find anything that is irregular you should definitely get it checked out.

It is the most common type of cancer in men aged 15-35

It is very cureable if it is found early

Check yourself now!

Every night. I also have my girlfriend perform a prostate exam regularly on me.:glugglug

Good for you! I'm glad to hear the lump turned out to be nothing. You are absolutely right; when it comes to breast and testicular cancer, the best thing anyone can do is give themselves a good prod once a month just to make sure everything is as it should be.

And if you ever find anything, YOU HAVE TO GET IT CHECKED OUT. And as soon as you can. I've seen people die slowly of cancer and I gotta tell you, it SUCKS.

Yeah, I've watched a few family members die slowly from cancer and its brutal how it just slowly sucks the life out of you until you eventually give in and die.

Its good to be cancer free! :thumbsup

I went through the same thing..one time during a masturbation session, I felt a small lump on my well oiled testicles. then I started reading shit about testicular cancer online and I got paranoid. I even started feeling the "dull ache" that they say you get.

I went straight to the doctor and had them do a sonogram/ultrasound on my nuts. It turned out to be nothing but man on man, you take your testicles for granted until you think that you're going to lose one.

Lucky, Last January I found a lump on my testicle, the doctors thought it was testicular cancer, but it ended up being non hodgkins lymphoma of the testicle.. after a bunch of chemo radiation and other treatments im in remission and cancer free.. Hopefully it'll stay that way. Glad to hear you are alrite.. And yes, guys check your balls if I hadn't noticed that lump for another 2 months the Docs said I would prob. be dead.

Cheshire 09-04-2002 06:22 PM

glad to hear you ok...thats some serious shit. I would suggest everyone check their nuts every week, to make sure there is nothing fishy going on in there...

How exactely are you sposed to tell whats abnormal in your testicals without feeling normal ones beforehand ? I mean, seriously what do you check for ?

Speaking of cancer, I went in to the doctors 2 days ago to get removed what was supposed to be a cyst in my head which was getting rather large, turned out the be a wrong diagnosis and it's actually, a tumour... Benign of course, well, asuming because it hasn't done anything to me in the last year or so I've had it. Hope they don't fuck up like that again :\

PhilipX 09-05-2002 12:55 AM

Are you now without your testicles? .....ooops.
How does it feel?

Wizzo 09-05-2002 06:37 AM

Words to live by, "I don't have testicular cancer!"...lol:winkwink:
