Does USA have the RIGHT to attack Iraq?

All the discussion about the possible Iraq attack.
The ethical point of view came to my mind...

Do you think USA has a right to attack Iraq if it decided to?
Or would it be wrong?

klik 09-04-2002 02:14 PM

You forgot the option 'I'm tired of all these pointless polls'

Sly_RJ 09-04-2002 02:16 PM

We have the right to attack whoever the fuck we want. As does every other country.

Well, where do rights come from? Who or what would give one nation the right to attack another one?

If a state has the right to exist and to maintain its welfare, it has the right to assure its own existence and welfare through preventive measures.

If the USA has good reason to believe its existence or welfare are in peril through preparations being carried out elsewhere, it has the right to act in self defense, does it not?

If you know someone is going to shoot you, do you have to wait until the trigger is pulled to take action? To answer yes, you'd have to wait, would be absurd, would it not?

That option exists and it is not viewing the poll because you can already see what you get in the title.

But I do get your point - I think. :)

I feel that way about 90% of the time, but always try to restrain myself. But you know what? I'm getting fucking sick of the Europeans bitching about our business or whatever we're trying to do. You don't see me bitching about your fucking tea and crumpets, do you?

I say we make allies with the Arab nations and various African countries, invade Europe, take them for what they are, and send all the pussy Europeans to Australia. Now that would be fun. Or better yet, maybe we shut just frame some European country for a massive explosion in Iraq... we'll see what they think then.

No. If threatened, one has to act. I agree

Most European countries don't have guns, so the average citizen would have no idea what it's like. Living in a bubble, woohoo!

There are 3 groups of people who want us to attack Iraq:

1 - War mongers who simply want blood.
2 - Israelis / Jews
3 - Idiotic presidents who will do anything to ensure re-election.

Turn on any cable news network and you'll see debates about attacking Iraq all day long. Who are the strongest & most often heard voices for attaching Iraq? Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Pearle, Joseph Lieberman, Paul Wolfowitz. Anybody know what they have in common? Yep, they're all Jews.

Why should the USA risk thousands of American lives, international outrage, loss of allies, billions of dollars, etc... for doing Israel's dirty work? We'd be fools to attack Iraq. Israel would continue to sit back and laugh at us, saying "just shut up and keep sending our $3 billion per year".

Pornwolf 09-04-2002 05:49 PM

This is off topic but has anyone seen Dick Cheny since last year?
