I hear the end is a huge disappointment: He doesn't die!
I've heard some rumors about the long awaited finale to this never ending saga, but I don't want spoil anything. I'll say one thing, though: he marries her.

still have yet to see one movie or even think , consider, ponder or anything else about the book.

He gets married and has 3 kids, guy fans got to be disappointed...

Thats why I opted to not bother with lines and have my copy dropped off on my doorstep by Mr. UPS tomorrow afternoon. :-)

I'll be out all day on a beer drinknig binge, though, so my girlfriend has already announced she'll be seizing rights to the book before I can get my hands on it... :(

Just out of curiosity... what do you get from doing that?

It reminds me a lot of the idiots who, after a night of drinking, decide that it'd be fun to throw a brick through a window, or vandalize someone's car or bike.

I did read it... it's not quite as good as the other books, in my opinion. It has quite a bit of action, yet large parts of it are rather dull, causing the ending to feel a bit rushed.
