Any UK folks flooded?

I sure hope not but it is looking bad on the tv. London is just getting rain (my part anyway) but nowhere near what some people are getting,

Vendot 07-20-2007 10:11 AM

The UK is a problem place where concerns flooding, i do worry about its survival in the long term.

How much rain is london getting and for how long?

Sarah_Jayne 07-20-2007 10:21 AM

No where near what other parts of the country are getting. Last night we had a really hard downpour that lasted a few hours and today it is on and off fairly hard rain. We have that Thames Barrier for a reason I guess but I doubt it is getting tested anywhere near the way it would in other parts of the country.

I thought about Damian with the recent stuff Hull has had.

No flooding here in bournemouth but this morning it really was bad, looked like the sky was falling

Antonio 07-20-2007 10:33 AM

flooding is the last of your problems, told your premier the other day not to fuck with the Russian bear but he just wouldn't listen, you kick out four dimplomats, tehy kick out four and the next thing all the "fish and chips" are replaced by "vodka and pickles"

Sarah_Jayne 07-20-2007 10:34 AM

I take back what I said about London. I guess we have just been lucky in our area of London but I am watching the BBC London news and some parts of the city were really badly flooded.

They can start by not killing people in our country and expecting nothing to be done.

now..back to things that actually matter today

I have lived here for just over 11 years so I must like it :) I don't think it is better than America..I love America too. However, it is the right place for me.

buzzy 07-20-2007 02:43 PM

No place like home I guess

Bell 07-20-2007 02:53 PM

crazy weather....

worldwide... it concerns me...
it's overwhelming when something that can be harmful/hurtful - yet one has NO control over the situation... I try not to think about it too much... or it would give me ongoing migraines....

it's been raining ALOT here in Dayton, OHIO USA as well...
and my second home - San Antonio... lots of flooding there... :(

Hope you will be okay...

My flatmate said where he works ..only 15 minutes from my flat...was pretty bad. We just must have been in a safe pocket. I saw pictures of Croydon that were really bad and that isn't that far away.

Both countries are home now, really. I have been in the UK since I was 19 but I grew up in the States and so much of my make up comes from there. I think having dual citizenship is apt in my case.
