Question: do any hosts offer SLA compensation above 100%?
 
That is, more than a refund of a single month's fee, which for most of us is probably peanuts relative to the losses due to an extended outage. Rather, a penalty.

Just curious.

If the host is going to be down for more than 100% of the month I don't understand why you would stay with them? Maybe I don't understand your question completely.

you can get business continuation insurance with softlayer.com not sure what it really entails though.

All the SLAs I've seen have a sharp downtime:credit curve once downtime exceeds a certain amount. A few hours of downtime could have you at 100% credit, but that's where it stops.
