posts to blog for months?

Hey

Is there some kind of plugin or something for wordpress, where I am able to make hundreds of posts in day and then wordpress make 1 public each day?

Thanks

You can adjust the date on the timestamp to make your post appear each day

date stamp manipulation will do the trick

He's asking if there is a wordpress plugin that would allow him to write 100 blog entries all in advance, keep them stored in a database, and not publish them all at once. Rather, 1 blog entry from the database would be automatically published to his blog every day, like with a cron job for example.

he can set the datestamp on each blog post he made

ex. he can set blog post #1 on the 20th then the 2nd post on the 21st and so on.... so that 1 blog post will appear each day...

I'll add on more to that question - is there a quicker way to get it done rather than writing them out on the screen? Like put the info in a txt file or spreadsheet?

Thanks :)

Quicker way to put in bunch of post-dated posts.

gimo33 07-20-2007 04:55 AM

I dunno if there is a quicker way.... I just make 1 post at a time then adjust the datestamp.... sorry...

Why not to try the sponsored feeds in such a case?

In all honesty - 85% don't updated regularly, they aren't consistent with eachother, 99% don't use the opportunity to get massive links in with the keywords/phrases that target their sites, short descriptions, updates pushing the same damn galleries/thumbs they did last week, 50% blocking Feed Wordpress - that's just some of the reasons, I'm sure if I continue to look, I can find a few other reasons why sponsor feeds don't work for me as much anymore. (Don't get me wrong, I still use them on a few blogs, but the newer ones I want to avoid adding them)

Thats what WP does. I do a weeks worth at a time, and just set the time stamp on them.

the problem with future timestamps is that wp by default pings the servers at the time of the post regardless of the timestamp so you need a few hacks
to ping when the post is shown.

I use Webspinner to generate the post. It can take sentences from a .txt file or excel and write 1000 post in 5 minutes, I then zip it and upload.

Wordpress import tools? My god that kicks ass. I didn't even think about using one of these until today when you showed me they exist.
