The last time Splitinfinity had a "server blowout" they used my name without my permission to do it, promising 100% of all new servers sold that month would be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation as part of one of the many charity drives I have done.

They started new theads about it even bought sticky ads on another board promoting it, along with their announcements on here.

Guess what? I was never contacted about the donation, and several attempts to contact them about their donation were ignored.

Just thought I'd share the results of their last "blowout" with everyone.

now my elbow really itches...

First of all, you are way off base. YES, we spent money to buy stickies to promote that, however you are assuming that anyone responded to our efforts. Tell me who signed up during that and certainly we will hook you up as promised, however no one I know signed up at that time. Joel? Any comments.

OH, and thanks a-lot for contacting me about this. Ya know that would have be nice if you felt that way about it.... geeeze dude.

I was told 1/2 through that month that based on server sales at that point the donation would be at least $1,500 plus whatever was sold the 2nd half of the month. But whatever, I don't have access to your books, so will never know for sure.

If your company went an entire month without making any new server sales, despite a massive PR effort on your part, and despite what I was told 1/2 through the month, then I guess that's that.

I'm not going to argue with you people.

Ragging Rhino 07-19-2007 12:52 PM

I thought they we're gonna send all the money to me?

SplitInfinity 07-19-2007 12:52 PM

We had some people who responded, and were "moved" by the good will of the promotion, and they wanted servers, but they never came through.
Now, I dont want you to feel all screwy about this, because we did spend money to promote it as well, however I did believe in the cause so I will personally donate money to it.

Whats the paypal address BoyAlley?

Nice offer!

tranza 07-19-2007 01:45 PM

Very nice offer indeed...

Ok whatever. If you want everyone to believe your company went an entire month without even getting 1 new client, or 1 new server from an existing client, that's fine. We'll believe that.

As for your "personal paypal donation", do what you want with your pittance. I won't keep popping up in your threads, you don't have to worry about that.

People like you are common.

Congrats to all the winners!

That'll be my last comment on the matter.
