Update on the codec trojans.. it seems like they auto install now

Just found this link on pichunter..

DO NOT CLICK UNLESS YOU HAVE ANTI-VIRUS/MALWARE INSTALLED

Well.. don't click no matter what... ;)

This one made my anti-virus pop up right away and ask me if I wanted to delete the trojan which just installed itself on my computer..

I hope you guys understand what this means.. if these guys gets to hack a site like HUN or WORLDSEX we're all pretty damn fucked...

Very much so, and would it shock you if I told you that according to my calcutations, based on facts I've seen, that these guys are probably the biggest overall affiliates in the world?

Amazing how little the interest is in this...

Dirty Dane 07-19-2007 08:26 AM

They are spamming all over. Also on newsgroups and bbs with bot software.
Keep your eyes open.

Imagine what these losers could do if they used their skills in a positive way.

Criminals don't think that way.

I'm not even sure why on earth we let Russia on the internet?

Until they get a decent police force, and some modern laws, we should snip their cables. Same with several other countries I can think of..... :2 cents:

this is a serious problem that will really fuck the industry.

Most people arent interested because they cant do anything to stop it. This needs to be stopped at the sponsor level , and they currently cant see the forest thru the trees.

Problem is that a sponsor see's no reason to ban these guys until its too late . sponsors like nastydollars are fading away because too many spyware installers scoop sales from them.. thus REAL webmasters ratios drop off theplanet and they move on to another sponsor.. thus the spyware has nothing to steal because no real webmasters are dropping links..

i dropped 6k seo hits to nastydollars yesterday . zip zero nada in sales.. 2 years ago i would have made 20+ sales with the same traffic..

Its a shame , but when huge sponsors like playboy have an op to help/change the industry they sit back and do nothing.. cant even get a playboy rep to answer affiliates questions anymore. I have asked half dozen times if playboy allows torrents and hundreds of bumps . no reply. i guess the lack of reply speaks volumes..

heres the pimproll affiliate id for that gallery incase they want to take action

links.pimproll.com/?s=maturetouch&n=1&p=ft&r=pimp11462&j=6&c=1&t=s

although i dont see anything on the gallery that would be a trojan/spyware but it could be done at random intervals or ip checking or various things.

btw biskoppen what browser and o.s. are you using.. i'm assuming ie7 xpsp2

JD 07-19-2007 10:19 AM

Hey STB

Nope, in fact I use FF.. thats why the auto install shocked me so much more...

That gallery you see on the URL I see the second time I load the page.. I think they're excluding some IP ranges or something.. I live in Europe

this shit is way out of control lately, I don't think anyone realizes how much distrust and loathing its bringing for our surfing customers.

biskoppen 07-20-2007 02:12 AM

here here! I totally agree.

Surfer gets infected, surfer cant surf anymore, surfer has to bring his pc to get windows reinstalled, surfer loses complete trust in web surfing. Once you have lost YOUR clients trust you are fucked.

Most people say "its not a real big deal, all they need to do is get the Trogan removed". Think about your clients trust people....LONG term.

Been out of control for years. The adult industry lost the trust of surfer a long time ago that's why ratios have dropped. With spyware/codecs, precheck sales, unable to cancel memberships among other things.

torrents and this shit are well on their way to killing off this industry.

if people don't start outing the cocksuckers who support this shit then don't cry when you're back working 9 to 5. Will 76 made a big stand against AFF and Zango but for the most part got more ridicule than Lars the oaf.

it's not just Zango - this technology is available to anybody - traffic and joins are being stolen from affiliates and programs - ask some big programs how they're doing this year compared to last year. nobody wants to say publically they are suffering.

fuck em all.

Violetta 07-20-2007 05:56 AM

It's been a while since i had trojan problems... thank god!
