Web 2.0 Porn Search Engine Launches

Today marks the release of EveKnows.com 1.0, the Internet?s first Web 2.0 porn search engine! EveKnows is different than the other sex search engines?rather than searching adult sites in general, it focuses solely on free picture and movie galleries. We aim to revolutionize porn searches the way Google changed mainstream searching, with an emphasis on clean, quality results and absolutely no pay-for-placement galleries. This means you, the user, find exactly the porn you?re looking for, rather than the same, tired content from companies with large advertising budgets.

Not quite sure what makes this 2.0

Yes you have a tag cloud and yes you attempted to emulate 2.0 design standards. However web 2.0 is about flipping the old single broadcast to many model into many broadcasting to many.

In other words user generated content and communities.

I don't see any of that here.

Nice work but a tag cloud and minimalist design does not web 2.0 make. :2 cents:

probably he means web2.0 standards for html coding of a website, and it looks like that it works fine for them, so probably search results from this site will be in other SE sites very soon, so this is great for them :winkwink:

2aidantrent: congrats on the launch, good luck with your site bro :thumbsup

maybe i am dumb but what makes this web 2.0 ?

I put something together that I need to get more traffic going to, but i thought my site ( www.noleftturn.com ) was more web 2.0'ish because the users rank the listings. Instead of the site telling you which listing should be on top the actual people using the search engine decide it. They also leave comments, etc..

Cyrano 07-19-2007 02:46 AM

Sure does look vaguely familiar to AskJolene.com.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-19-2007 03:28 AM

I like it but again I goto say the term "Web 2.0" is total bullshit thought up by stupid marketing guys just out of college...

Web 2.0 is nothing more then learning how to RSS and maintain a blog. Anything else it claims to be is pure bullshit.

There is going to be no revolutionary change to HTML nor any of the protocal's.

Web 2.0 does not have it's own protocal, it never will.

Again Web 2.0 is nothing more then a sensationalist term to get money out of big companies. Its a hustle that will go the way of many other old school web fad's...

Such as Blogging...

Another ghey spin term.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-19-2007 03:37 AM

Infact Web 2.0 is nothing more than a term thought up to label survivors of the first DOT.bomb era.

Just because someone makes a site with no graphics or makes it bare bones with silly text trying to look like a tacky hi end 1995 Webpage with a gray background and blue hyper links is nothing more than an excuse in saying, "We are untalented in creative layout and can not afford a decent artist to design this so we will call it web 2.0 bleh bleh bleh".

Listen folks...

TGP's can be called Web 2.0 or link lists, or blogs, or search engines, a website with yer fucking grandma on it...

Calling it Web 2.0 does not mean a fucking shit...

Anyone that really knows the web knows that Web 2.0 is nothing more than a cheap con to pilfer investment capital.

Now you all know...

Make use of what I told you.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-19-2007 03:47 AM

People have been blogging since the fuckin net started, its nothing new...
THere is no new protocal to Blogging. Infact Blogging is another ghey Sensationalist internet term to label something millions of people been doing for years by larger media conglomerates.
The idea is to get information for free for the media in all facet's such as humor, informatins, news, stories.

It's a "Plagiarism Gone Wild" Internet.
Just so each of you know that many blogs are constantly being scanend for idea's of every nature, what you contribute and put out there someone else will read and run with. Be it stories, artwork, photos, videos such as You Tube.

Have you seen fucking Youtube lately? Ever notice Major corporations rolling out commercial's based on ideas contributed from the internet? Thats right...

Your idea's are constantly being stolen as you write away on blogs or post video clips, say a funny joke, write a funny joke, video tape somthing...

All of it is being watched by major media companies...

So...

Make use of what I told you again.

CaptainWolfy 07-19-2007 04:03 AM

congrats!...

One extremely important piece of advice: change the search term input field. Right now, *many* people will not recognize it for what it is. And no, the text inside doesn't help - people often recognize page elements visually, without taking the time to read.

raven1083 07-19-2007 05:14 AM

great another adult search engine....

The details are at blog.eveknows.com, but the two biggies are custom RSS feeds (every search automatically builds an RSS feed, allowing surfers to have their search results delivered straight to their browser as EveKnows finds new galleries) and AJAX interaction for things like search suggestions.

djroof 07-19-2007 05:31 AM

congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice. Do you think this looks any better?

yumma 07-19-2007 06:19 AM

good for ya!

alby_persignup 07-19-2007 07:53 AM

Congrats for that!

RawAlex 07-19-2007 08:34 AM

It looks nice. Too bad it is a gallery only search engine as opposed to being an actual search engine.

BoyAlley 07-19-2007 09:08 AM

Congrats on the launch! :thumbsup

James_Hotmovies 07-19-2007 09:12 AM

Looks like you have a few of the HotMovies galleries in there.

You should create a MovieDollars account and download the .csv of all our galleries.

You could then have your affiliate links and correct links directly to the gallery pages.

Congrats!

SmokeyTheBear 07-19-2007 10:10 AM

i like it. very clean very simple , looks nice.. :thumbsup

tranza 07-19-2007 10:31 AM

posh rat in hell 07-20-2007 06:47 AM

Mefo 07-20-2007 07:51 AM

isn't this exactly the same as askjolene?

gornyhuy 07-20-2007 08:45 AM

More like Web 0.5 but without as much 3rd party advertising.

I could emulate the same thing in 9 seconds, this is about as opposite to web2.0 as you can get.

MattO 07-20-2007 01:42 PM

I think you're a little late, we're up to web 3.2 right now

By all means, setup your own web crawler and search engine indexing half-a-million galleries. Since it sounds like you could do it in a minute or two, I'll be waiting for the link :)

Similar concept, but I've attempted to design an engine with better results and more user-friendly features. It's like the difference between Google and Yahoo; both technically do the same thing, but most people only try Yahoo once Google has failed to give them the results they were looking for.
