Second Life - Real Companies
HERE A LIST O COMPANIES THAT HAVE AN OFFICIAL BRANCH IN SECOND LIFE, SOME OF THEM CONDUCT INTERVIEWS AS WELL FOR REAL LIFE JOBS:
Real life (RL, in Second Life-speak) companies and other entities have started to participate in Second Life. Examples include the following: 20th Century Fox, ABN AMRO, Adidas Reebok, Alcoholics Anonymous, American Apparel, American Cancer Society, BBC Radio, Dell (sells PCs there), Disney, Field Fisher Waterhouse (a large multinational law firm with headquarters in London), Hare Krishna, Harvard Law School, IBM, ING, the John Edwards presidential campaign, Leo Burnett Worldwide, Mazda, MLB.com (major league baseball), MTV, NBA, Reuters, Starwood Hotels, Sun Microsystems, an embassy for the country of Sweden, T-Mobile, Toyota, Pontiac, Universal Motown Records Group, and Wells Fargo. |
thats fucking crazy lol

Interesting angle.
Prerequisites: Must weigh over 300 lbs, poor personal hygiene, but can communicate effectively (some chatroom furry sex may be required). Anonymity is assured. |
SL has so many scalability issues. That site/service gets slow
|
Second Life Porn Products anyone
|
Yes, tried it, it has crashed on me several times.
Apparantly SL is also being used to launder money and it's currency, the Linden dollar, can be exchanged for real ones. I am condsidering promoting a toystore there. Many second lifers spend unhealthy amounts of time in their second life, without paying much attention to their real one as they build power, friends, money etc. Presumably it has a red-light area too? |
interesting list...
|
From what I've read, most of the activity there seems to centre on sex and gambling. I'm surprised more adult companies haven't checked it out and tried to make a few bucks there.
