intense fucking headaches

how can I make them stop? They usually come early in the morning or late in the evenings....since I go to the gym in the morning could this affect my head?:Oh crap

You should go to teh doctors. Although I'm sure you're fine, sometimes those can be signs of something bad, and it's always better to be safe than sorry.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 07-18-2007 11:36 AM

might be, if tylenol or advil or any other medicines dont help you i would suggest seeing a doctor. i know when i get a headache it takes forever to go away, if i fall asleep with one, ill wake up with the SAME one....it sucks.

Brad 07-18-2007 11:38 AM

go to the doctor. It could also just be that you are not drinking enough water, but I'm sure you already considered that.

I think my body could be reacting to not enough water

MetaMan 07-18-2007 11:44 AM

all da fried chicken?

royaljelly2 07-18-2007 11:55 AM

you could have migraines?
headaches can be caused by so many things.
some times even a tense shoulder/neck does it for me.
its usually because you are either not eating - or not drinking enough water.
make sure you have enough water in your system.
but do see a doctor to check up.

If you wake up in the morning with your head hurting really bad, on a regular basis, you should seriously get it checked. No joke. That's a sign of intracranial pressure from lying down all night.

LiveDose 07-18-2007 12:42 PM

Get it checked out. I have had migraines for years. Sometimes I can squash them with meds sometimes I have to deal for the day. It sucks.

I always start with 1600mg of Ibuprofin & Imitrex. Then I sometimes add Hydroconone. It's nuts.

If they come basically at the same time periods every day, are concentrated on one side of your head (often feeling like they're behind your eye), last a fairly short amount of time, and don't make you light- or sound sensitive...they're probably cluster headaches (also known as suicide headaches, and I can tell you from personal experience it's an apt nickname). If they come at various times, last a longer time, and make you want to lie down in a quiet area, they're probably migraines.

Either way, see your doctor right away - he'll probably send you to a neurologist (and if he doesn't, maybe you should find another doctor) and they CAN get you some relief.

best thing to do would see your doctor and let him check you...
it could be migraines but you need a specific medicine for that to avoid from coming back..

Calico Jack 07-18-2007 02:53 PM

Absolutely visit your doctor. There are so many reasons for getting severe headaches, some minor, some major, most treatable.
I've suffered severe headaches for 30 years and have just come to accept them as a part of life.
Recently my doctor tried me on a series of anti inflammatory tablets and when combined with paracetamol and codeine they have a remarkable effect.
For the forst time in 3 decades I have actually gone for more than two days at a time without a headache...and to think I put up with them for years!
I still get them, but you need medical help and prepare to be patient. It may be a process of trial and error to find the cause and the solution.

madawgz 07-18-2007 02:57 PM

could be because you arnt eating enough
