School With Mandatory Student Drug Testing Won't Fire Pot Smoking Principal
For 20 years Veronia School Dist. has been at the front of fighting drug use. Veronia even gives it's athletes mandatory drug tests, going all the way to the US supreme court in one instance, to defend its right to ban players who refuse a drug test
The district started mandatory drug testing in 1989 and students found positive for use were banned from playing, however, the principal of elementary schools who was cited last week for possession of marijuana will be allowed to keep his job.
"It was an unfortunate mistake and a poor choice to make," said a Veronia superintendent of Aaron Miller, 41, and adds Miller is "planning on making things better, making things right." The county sheriff says he finds it "sickening" of a role model
