if you aren?t 18+ you shouldn?t visit this forum. It?s just like the previous one but oriented to adult content.

Jobs can be a bit degrading? the Mc Donalds of design, i mean fast food? use and trash. If you really need this and you don?t have any moral prejudices at the time to design, here you can make a few bucks.

Competition with asian designers is tuff, it?s impossible to compete in prices.

so you're calling yourself as a good and moral person, but haven't enought of cash, thats why you're posting here, to make a few bucks?

Im not talking shit, Im talking my opinion :) ... I have very good clients here, they appreciate a good design and are open to pay what it worth but Im afraid in adult business cuantity and cheap prices is more important than quality, for me like designer its degrading... so I dont take that orders. Obviously if you have to use 1 new design every month, doesnt make sense expending lot of money... I understand it, I just dont take it.

I see, you are a master... but posting for job? Im sure if you would be a little bit more humild and open to learn you wouldnt need it. I invoice around 4000-10.000US$/month with that "old tips".

Please dont bother me sayings things I didnt talk about... I say "if you don?t have any moral prejudices" is obvious I dont have moral prejuices, its because Im here... but I understand not everybody is the same, its because I emphatize it.

thank you for a kind words, but as you said "not everybody is the same", I have enough of work, but now I want a fulltime position :winkwink:

about your income, this is great and I'm happy for you, I know that mainstream pays more, but I have a big practice in adult and really not a big portfolio with mainstream sites, so I don't think that its possible for me to find fulltime in non adult firm, I think you'll agree with it?

Twisted Dave 07-18-2007 09:37 AM

SOS Factory... I respect your work, but I think your opinions of GFY and your generalisation is pretty disgusting. You're saying it's the McDonalds of design ... have you worked for BoyAlley, Slick, Hoffmann? These clients pay many many thousands for quality design if they wish, and you need to remember that it's not the adult webmasters that are 'cheap' or that don't want to pay ... it's just certain people ... this means people in mainstream too. I've had lots of mainstream clients asking me to do a toon for $50 and complaining that I'm too expensive. My advice is that you should take that down immediately or change the wording.

Keep up the good work, because your work is often outstanding, but think before you type... :)

So we dont have prejuice to do adult bizz but we have at time to heard things we dont like... Sorry... its my opinion... just my opinion, if you dont like dont hire me or dont read my blog, I respect that.

If you read some post before you will read I have very good clients from this board, and I work for them very pleased because they appreciate my work, but my experience tell me its a small %.

If anybody have something to tell me, please add me to messenger and I will explain my point of view... I dont want to steal protagonism to the post creator.

Thanks
