Online savings account, do you have one? how much interest?
 

Looking to open up an online savings account since the interest rates are great compared to a normal brick and mortar bank
5.05% at hsbc is what I am leaning towards

any one here have any bad experiences with an online bank?

so far i like everything that comes with hsbc.

I've used hsbc for going on 2 years, and have not had any issues with them. Both my sons have moved their savings accounts there as well.

Damn, that's great. I am getting a little over 3% from a money market at a local bank.

5.05 are you serious...dont think we have that in canada

I've got mine in the Vanguard Prime Money Market fund. Yielding 5.13% right now, and you get check writing ability with it as well. (checks over $250)

you can get 6.20% on ebonds with Nationwide in the UK.

but they dont have a 5.05% savings account...or am I missing something

actually they do have 5% rates:)
