It's not the people that can't get along.. it's typically always the govt.

Porn Farmer 07-16-2007 04:51 PM

So let them fight for it. Its their country.

If they want it that bad they will have it.

Porn Farmer 07-16-2007 04:55 PM

Ooops, I missed this part: "And while nearly two-thirds support financial assistance for opposition groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah, 55 percent of Iranians support recognizing Israel and Palestine as independent states in exchange for normal relations with the United States."

Sounds like they want more than democracy. :1orglaugh

Cherry7 07-16-2007 05:02 PM

What's democracy? and where in the world is it?

[db] 07-16-2007 05:09 PM

As long as we don't attack them, the Theocracy would fall within a dozen years. Most of the population is young and doesn't like religious extremism.

Unfortunately the idiots who run our country are war hungry religious maniacs and they're going to bomb the shit out of Iran, polarizing the country against us and insuring that the regime will be around for decades.

uno 07-16-2007 05:25 PM

Nothing new. It's been that way for longer than I was alive from what I've read.

Yet more GFY style bullshit??

What is being reported by CNN is a purported survey of Iranian people by a Washington-based lobby group, "Terror Free Tomorrow".

Would seriously doubt the Iranian people give a shit about what the US has to say and, assuming for one moment that these "interviews" ever took place, the interviewees are very lucky to come out alive.

Suggest you take your sorry ass to any other country and start asking people for their opinions on the internal workings of that country and you will be told where to stuff your head.

It may be a dissapointment to your own personal political agenda that this organization is purportedly non-partisan, however, as far as Iran and the Iranian people are concerned, do you seriously think they care what any idiot from Washington has to say about their country? Trust me - they don't.

Clean up your own backyard and get some cred, before assuming to pander information about other people.

SmokeyTheBear 07-16-2007 06:26 PM

what a bullshit poll.

Why would anyone "want" their nuclear program inspected ..

V_RocKs 07-16-2007 06:42 PM

Actually it mirrors what the Iranian people I work with say... Or had worked with. I worked with about 200 of them.

It also goes to show that we vilify an entire nations people because of their fucked up leaders... As they are doing to us...

Remember Germany in WWII? We thought all Germans were assholes because their leaders were such diabolical assholes. Same with Iraqis. I worked with about 30 of them and they were all great people.

What it always boils down to is religion. For both us and them.

Porn Farmer 07-17-2007 03:16 AM

I just read this article again and the ridiculousness of it is just fully hitting home.

Not only was the poll conducted by a lobby group calling themselves Terror Free Tomorrow but was it was done by telephone.... in Iraq.

:1orglaugh

How many people in Iraq do you think have a working telephone connection?

The laughs just keep on coming!

The sad part is people actually give cred and use bullshit like that and assume it's fact. Even CNN (at least the US edition) publishes that crap shit like that - you have to start wondering why?? *lol*

Excuse me while I revamp Mein Kampf to apply to current times :winkwink:

The BS starts again to make way for an attack on Iran:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/frontpage/...127343,00.html

Quote:

Cheney pushes Bush to act on Iran

· Military solution back in favour as Rice loses out
· President 'not prepared to leave conflict unresolved'

The balance in the internal White House debate over Iran has shifted back in favour of military action before President George Bush leaves office in 18 months, the Guardian has learned.

The shift follows an internal review involving the White House, the Pentagon and the state department over the last month. Although the Bush administration is in deep trouble over Iraq, it remains focused on Iran. A well-placed source in Washington said: "Bush is not going to leave office with Iran still in limbo."

AtlantisCash 07-17-2007 04:55 AM

only one thing i would say...

Iran isn't Iraq, go and see Your mother's fucking cunt.

Democracy sucks btw. we have it heere.

AtlantisCash 07-17-2007 04:57 AM

Militarism is best...
