Anyone ever travel Spain? Barcelona, Madrid, MArbella?
Are these good cities to hit in Spain?
Need to know as i'm laying out the spain portion of a europe trip later this year. Croatia Italy Spain then of course Holland for Webmaster access Id like to check out some old gothic churches...and the beach in marbella is supposed to be one of the best in the world. Any tips? |
I live in Marbella and it's great over here! The beaches are definitely NOT one of the best in the world especially now with all the crowds everywhere but there are many cool clubs on the beaches where you can hang out. Feel free to contact me when your in the area.

Croatia - Novy Grad is a cute place but the whole coast is worth checking out, great fish and red wine, old roman architecture and Rakilla - some of the finest booze around (I reccomend the one with sea weed in it ). I haven't been to Italy yet although Toscana is one of my all time favourite places to visit. |

I am in Marbella as well, beaches are not THAT great here though, like Dirk said, they are better around Tarifa ( 1.5 hour from here ). Very good if you are into surfing, kitesurfing and stuff like that, and not very crowded.
I also lived in Barcelona almost 2 years, it's a fucking awesome city, I really miss it! |
absolutly great cities.. specially barcelona fucking rocks!
might get little hot though.. ;) |

on topic, The Milano Dome is a must see. It's a unbelievable cathedral.
Sagrada Familia from Barcelona, too. |
Please tell me more about la riviera, the website doesn't work.

Duh, ask Mystery Man.

Tuscany is just an awesome area :thumbsup It's one of the places I'd like to have a base for a good few months of the year and will probably organize that in the next two years. |
Cadiz is a great beach town with some cool old churches. The entire province of Andalucia has some great sightseeing. On the way down to Cadiz you can hit Sevilla and Granada which are cool and historical. Sevilla has good nightlife. From this Southern region, it is a quick jump over to Africa too. Cordoba and Malaga are other historical Southern cities.
Madrid is an amazing city, with great nightlife and cool people. The Islands of Ibiza and Mallorca are a lot of fun and have some cool beaches. For a lot of the charm of Spain for a little cheaper check out Portugal. I highly recommend the train and bus system in Spain. You can take it everywhere, and it's cheap, punctual and pretty comfy. Have fun! |
thanks for the input everyone....going to research the places everyone listed
have lots of research to do Kdogg...yeah i should be asking MM he lives in the country next door i think |

I love barcelona and madrid. Great night life, amazing food and lots more. Look out for all the gypsie beggars in Madrid.

i just got back from Barcelona, it is a great town, i wished i had had more time available there..yes a bit hot right now, but very pleasant in the evening.

Just about anywhere in Spain iis good, if you are looking for big beaches with few people, lots of sand, and reasonably good prices go to Almeria province, although it is HOT HOT in July and August, north east of Spain is also very nice and cooler, but more expensive

Anyone ever crossed with the ferry from Tarifa to Tangier? Is it worth it?
|
My girlfriend was in Barcelona in January and she loves it, one of her fav cities. Never been myself tho, but defo on the list. Maybe even take her back later this year for a long weekend.

Beautiful beaches, formentera one of the Balarics, you can get their by ferry from ibiza or valencia. Madrid's not that great, especially in summer boiling hot and no people. opps just seen the date |
