sounds like bullshit. the sql server software goes for way more than $189 alone...not including hardware/bandwidth/etc. I dont see how they can offer it at that price unless they're giving you a pirated copy or just giving you shitty shared access.

Why would you want a windows machine?

Asp.net, sql server, iis?

I cant beat that.

Probably the same reason why so many other large companies use it?
