Apple starting record label with Jay-z and Beyonce? Orly?
That's the current rumor:
http://www.macrumors.com/2007/07/15/...z-and-beyonce/ Seems kind of a strange couple of performers for Apple to start a label with though? Oh well, if Starbucks can start a label with Paul McCartney, I guess Apple can start one with Jay-z.... Still, I don't think Jay-z exactly fits in with the image that Apple's been developing for itself? |
Oh dear.. this 'trying to appeal to popular culturalists' has gone too far for Apple now...

The next move would be to release the album on itunes exclusively.
That would be a huge money maker for them. Glad I bought Apple stock when I did. |
maybe will be a super label as they want

I thought Apple was legally prevented from being a record label since there is already an "Apple" record label which has The Beatles. They have gone to court over it a couple times.
Side note... that Irreplaceable song (to the left, to the left) was actually written by a man. It was written by Ne-Yo for Beyonce. |
