I've been with TB for over 6 years and have not had any problems with them, payments are always on time, and support has improved greatly in the last year ( used to be a little slow). Not too happy with the new webmaster site (TB reloaded), lots of bugs but, other then that, pretty happy with them.

StarkReality 07-15-2007 06:08 PM

They are good as gold, probably just a mistake.

Scootermuze 07-15-2007 06:12 PM

What hosting do you have?
Could be sharing with a celeb site that they picked up on..

I was accused once of having stolen content on a site that wasn't even mine, but it was on the same server as I was.. however that works...

clearcut 07-15-2007 06:46 PM

Must be nice to be so big where you can afford to turn away affiliates. ;)

hmm wouldn't take stuff like that to the boards you could have just mailed them and ask .

humans make mistakes sometimes :2 cents:

Penny24Seven 07-15-2007 08:13 PM

how about to wait for a reply before you come on here and cry like a fucking baby , what a fucking joke

TheDoc 07-15-2007 08:16 PM

I have used TB for 8 years, and so have 50k other Webmasters. I'm sure a few applications get approved by mistake just like others don't get approved by mistake.

So what was the URL that you signed up with?

topbucks has great support, you're better off just emailing them.

dissipate 07-15-2007 11:32 PM

last time i had a problem with topbucks it took them a week to resolve it and the rep was quite a bitch with me.

SleazyDream 07-16-2007 12:54 AM

topbucks is and always has been incredibly easy to deal with and VERY fair in their dealings.

unless of course you're an idiot :)

Hello Overload,
I have replied to your email.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns!

Thank you :)

Topbuxom Lea 07-16-2007 10:45 AM

Overload,
It's my understanding that Jenn just emailed you and tried to provide a bit more clarity to the situation:

"I reviewed the URL you provided on your TB application www.bravedigger.net and you do in fact have a celebrity link that directs to: www.nudecelebritypictures.

I have attached a screen shot of the page. This is found about half way down the page. Per our terms/FAQ www.topbucks.com/faq.php, we do not approve accounts that have celebrity links. If you wish to remove that link or provide us with another site, we will be happy to review your account again."

If this is still unclear, please feel free to hit me up.
thanks
lea

Overload - sometimes it happens - they review your site and click around, sometimes something takes over their screens sometimes it's something else - either way, the reviewer is human. Not only are they a great program, they do what they can to keep their affiliates and go out of their way for them.

Affiliates that don't get approved, simply have to write in or reply to the decline email to discuss the issue and see if they can review it with additional info or with another URL (not your case but just putting it out there).

Not only did I work for the company for 3 great years, I have been an affiliate since they started and despite some hiccups in the 8 years, they have only come back with a vengeance and improved consistently.

You'll enjoy being a Topbucks affiliate :)

Phoenix 07-16-2007 10:53 AM

topbucks is tops in my books:)

Think that pretty much sums up why they probably don't want to partner with you... :pimp

SmokeyTheBear 07-16-2007 11:36 AM

i could see if he was sending traffic to a celeb sponsor , but the link he has is obviously a trade script , one link buried in 1000 links.. i wouldnt think that should REALLY be a problem..

the rejection letter should have been more specific in my opinion , but hey i dont run the site and not my position to say what is right and wrong for someone else's biz..

if you had contacted them back via email you might have still gotten approved afte explaining the situation , but you kinda jumped the gun in calling them out as they were forced to call you out for your mistake..
