Dog or Cat? Why?

Post a picture of your dog. Who has the most fucked up dog? In Vancouver I've seen some crazy fucking dogs - half poodle/half great dane types.

The loyalty of the dog far outweighs any benefits from the cat. Plus - dogs swim...cats, for some reason, cannot.

Not true. When I was a kid, my cat "defended" me against a german shepherd (ofcourse, the dog only wanted to play, but when he came near me, my cat beat him up - scratched the shit out of him).

Heh.. i know a cat (some norwegian race) that killed a German shepherd when it (the dog) threatened it's kids..

And cats can swim, they just f**king hate water for some reason

I like dogs better, especially big dogs like rotties, but they're a lot of work. You whole life revolves around taking them out every 5 hours or so.

With cats you can go out all night and not have to stop what you're doing to rush home to take them out.

I paid $1600 for mine ($100 was for shipping from California) All of her dogs come with Papers and are show quality. Her prices depend on several things.

She may sell you one for $500-$700 (show quality) but with no papers. (So you cant have papered pups if you breed and be future competition in dog shows or for puppy sales later)

But you can probably get one with papers for between $700-$1000. Mine cost a little more because he is solid black. (which is extremely rare). They usually are black with a white chest.

Heres the site I purchased mine from: http://members.cox.net/staffy/
*warning, turn your speakers down :)

Here's my pups dad: http://members.cox.net/staffy/img159.gif

Read up on them, they are Great Dogs and the lady has been breeding them for 35yrs.

She actually gets the semen artifically taken out of the dog and ships it all over the world to breed with other champions with her getting the pick of the litter since she supplie the male dog.

I plan to show my dog within 6 months and to be Federal Expressing Dog Nut all across the globe within a year. :thumbsup

I actually like both, but I'm more partial to purchase a cat than a dog for a few selfish reasons. First I like the independence of a cat. (They can be evil bitches), but you leave them alone. Watch them, pet them when needed. Be very careful. I've been clawed a lot. Also they are very clean creatures. (Yes watching them lick their parts is nasty, but they have a nice system, and well, heck they are licking it not you). I love their little purring during sleep. It's so refreshing. Other downside. To Declaw or not? That's always an issue for me, but when I had cat's I wore gardening gloves when I handled my two. Go figure. Well other than that, cat's are a better choice see! And when their girls and they go into heat it's even funner. Plus all the Kitty Litter and ammonia smell, it's the best choice!:1orglaugh

Dogs rule!!!

we bought a new pup last xmas and were told that she is a Lhasa-Apso. The dog has to be a mix, since I have now seen real Lhasa's and it really doesnt look like one.

She looks EXACTLY like a sheepdog, only she is 11 Lbs at 1 year old now. Has the same colors, longer fur, everything that you'd expect in a sheepdog, except that she is a foot tall and 11 Lbs. The vet even thinks that she is a miniature sheepdog, but not sure of what breed she WOULD be if there is one.

She has a great temperament, great with a house fulla people and also, when she gets bored, she just lays in her cage on her stuffed animlas that get dragged all over the house and goes to sleep.

I have pics at home I can post later if anyone has a suggestion as to what breed she may really be.

Cats over dogs for two main reasons. One, I am allergic to dog hair but strangely enough, not to cat hair. Two, you have to take dogs for walks and I'm a lazy fuck.

Cats you have the litter tray but we've got great cedar litter that doesn't get smelly and is bio-degradable.

If it weren't for these two things we'd prolly have one of each. I'm particularly fond of Spaniels, Terriers, and Labradors.

Instead we have 3 small cats (all of siamese/oriental descent) who are very sweet and slightly insane. Besides, you can't beat a cat on your lap fast asleep and purrrrrrrring away!!:thumbsup

Oh yes, you asked for pics. We only have pics of 2 as the third is new and we haven't taken any pics yet. Here are the two eldest.

Here's Max our chubby 2 year old red miniature pinscher. I caught him on the webcam while we were playing fetch in the living room.

<img src=http://69khz.com/images/maxball.jpg>

He puts my two cats through hell, but every now and then I catch them licking his head or rubbing up on him.

I have a six year old female cat that likes to catch rats and chews their faces off and just eat the brain. My male cat likes to sleep in the bathtub (empty of course).

Hours of entertainment. :1orglaugh

Ahh cats. I had a cat once that would catch bunnies...YES FUCKING BUNNIES....and eat ONLY their hearts. You'd find a bunny with a big gaping hole in its chest. Now THATS entertainment.

hehe... do I even have to answer this one?

We've got everythiing in my household but a dog and if my boys had their way there would be a dog here too. Long ago when I lived in an apartment, I went the way of the cat for ease, cleanliness, etc... Well one of those cats has been with me for 19 years. Another for over 15, etc. I just can't see upsetting their world at this stage of their lives by bringing in a dog (especially one that my kids want).

CATS.

.:Frog:. 09-03-2002 04:43 PM

I like cats more myself. They don't require the attention the dog needs, and cats can go to the bathroom on their own.
You have a cat and you can take off for awhile, but the dog would flip out if you left it alone for several days.

I like how cats can jump up really high and actually hunt animals & birds.
They are more like wild animals..
Let your dog loose and it would starve to death or end up getting hit by a car.

The only advantage about dogs, is they protect your home.

Both. Must have both. I resisted becoming a dog person for years, until a local stray decided to unload a litter of eight under my shed, then disappear. Ended up raising five of them on my own (the other three went to other foster homes). After that experience, there was no way in hell I wasn't gonna keep at least one of the little buggers. And at the tender age of 31 I became, at last, a Dog Person. Now I can't imagine being without.

But poor Xena grew up surrounded by kitties, so sometimes I suspect she thinks she is one.

Disclaimer: Had I the time and the room, I would also have goats, chickens, sheep, cows, pigs, peacocks, wallabees and pretty much anything else with furs, feathers, claws, hair...I'm a sucker for critters.

PornoDoggy 09-03-2002 10:16 PM

I have both. They serve to keep you balanced. A dog will let you yell at him and be mean to him and he will still come running up and show you affection. A cat will become displeased with something you did - like yell at him when he tried to share the mouse he killed - and shit in your shoes.

Dutche is a 4 year old Sharpai

<img src=http://pornodoggy.com/Dutch.jpg>

The cat, when asked if he wanted his picture here, said

TELL THEM TO GO FUCK THEMSELVES.

Plat 09-03-2002 10:16 PM

Cat cause i lub my 2 to death :c)

cept they are both weird.

one i got high when it was a kitten, never been the same since.

the other i guess i traumatized when i was a littly boy and she always hisses at me :/

but still I LUB THEM!

Well, fuck, I'd sleep someplace where she couldn't get at me either.

FATPad 09-03-2002 10:20 PM

Right now, I have 2 of each.

So I guess both...
