How did Webair get this army of spamming trolls?

Do they pay those guys or what?

All the no name no website no traffic idiots here go spam nuts as soon as someone mentions hosting. Wtf is up with that?

dissipate 07-14-2007 02:54 AM

probly the $99 refferal fee they give, little fuckers will do anything for a buck

Dirty F 07-14-2007 02:56 AM

Well, i think there are more hosts giving referral money but i dont see them spammed like that. I never checked if they use referral links though in the spam posts.

he-fox 07-14-2007 02:58 AM

yeah, it's full of low-life retards trying to make 200 bucks a month on GFY, spamming threads with ref codes and stepping on each other in contest threads.

I guess they are ok, though, comparing to other annoying lunatics.

polish_aristocrat 07-14-2007 03:03 AM

webair is cool, didnt you know it?

Klen 07-14-2007 06:15 AM

Yes they pay a lot for that spamming army. Some of them post for free but not much such people.

No Shit. Someone at Webair msut have fat fingers and gives those fags free rectal massage. Fucking losers jump on every single post about hosting like vultures on a corpse.

NTM 07-14-2007 08:49 AM

they buy their sigs

ronbotx 07-14-2007 09:12 AM

When your hosting service sucks, and your customer service is crap, you need to make up for it with marketing. You'll note that their biggest supporters are the "high post count" bottom feeders of GFY. Apparently the noobs and terminally stupid buy these fictitous "paid" endorsements.

My problem with them is that in the past, they have serviced just about every ROKSO spammer and low-life criminal out there, from Jon Atherton on down. I remember going out to Spamhaus and seeing up 25-30 current listings at time..... worse than ANY OTHER host i can think of.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh I have to talk to 6 different people all asking the same questions for 5 hours to get something done with webair. Once I asked them if something could theoretically be transfered between 2 webair accounts and they made a mess we're still trying to sort out...

Why are you spamming Webair's name?
Are they paying you?

I can put money on it that you are the idiot in the equation.....

they do everything I ask for quickly and EVEN install some scripts for free that the owners of the scripts are asking $20-$50 per install....

Maybe they are great but they are not definately best.

Yanks_Todd 07-14-2007 10:37 AM

How does a hosting company get a whole bunch of supporters who constantly refer people to them? Many of which for free. Hmmm, great customer service, competitive prices, good hosting. Sounds like we just finished a webair commercial together, thanks. :thumbsup

You presume too much, Oracle.

As for webair: not everyday is Sunday.
I do not deny they have competent people there but you don't always get to them. I asked them if something could hypothetically be done and, without any questions someone endeavored to do it...6 of their colleagues couldn't correct the mistake. Not to mention they added to my account some sites I've never seen.

I don't know how much they pay you to insult people...I hope you're not doing it for the $20-$50 installs.

My experience exactly - competent support was very hit or miss. It used to be great but went downhill in a big way around a year ago.

I had a couple managed boxes with them a while ago which i moved and currently have one there still.

I have no dogs in this fight and some may love them but my honest assesment for those looking for an unbiased opinion is there tech support isn't what it used to be and certainly sub par to where i am now.

If you have great great admin skills i don't recall any down time nor speed issues however if you aren't a computer science PHD and need a hand every once and a while you may want to consider another provider.

:2 cents:

Axarsys 07-14-2007 07:57 PM

If I thought so little of them I would have moved; all this happened recently and I'm just still angry at the unnecessary hazard and the wasted time, and don't appreciate being the one insulted over it by those who don't exactly know the situation...I'm sure my current mood is somewhat rectifiable.

I've already illustrated the circumstance, in more detail than was needed. Do try to read before you accuse of lying. It's not as if I'm the only one disappointed and have worked with them fore some time myself.

But I've had about enough of this topic and of explaining myself to webair zealots. I've neither the time nor patience.

Sausage 07-15-2007 08:19 AM

Webair was great 3-4 years ago but 2 years ago when I started getting more and more problems ... the support seemed so thinly spread it took hours or even days to get things done and even then sometimes they made major mistakes. I moved to isprime and paid the extra ... but couldn't be happier. In 2 years haven't had a single glitch and support is in contact within minutes.

Webair was nice back in the day, but despite the rabid army of postwhores they have enlisted.... you can do better for the same $.

We used webair years ago and we had mysql problems all the time with them. I personally wouldn't recommend them to no one.

It not surprising that a professional liar and and the biggest "spamming troll" on gfy will defend his best buddy Mikey from Webair. How many dinners, gift baskets, baseball tickets and free hosting have you recieved for your worthless endorsements? Its no surprise, since since both of you had gotten down on your knees on multiple occasions to "service" any low-life douchbage, spammer, and criminal, as long as their checks didn't bounce.

You can make up any stupid accusations and fantasies about me you want. I don't give a shit. As indicated in this little poll a while back (209 responses)titled:

do you actually give a fuck if Juicy doesn't post anymore?
fucking-around-and-business-discussion/617617-actually-fuck-juicy-doesnt-post-anymore.html
*************************************************
Yes, he means alot to GFY and I will miss him. 38 18.18%
No, he is just a clown that seeks attention. 97 46.41%
Who cares. 74 35.41%
Voters: 209. You have already voted on this poll
**************************************************

..... less than 19% of GFY thinks that what you have to have to say is of any value. This includes your little clique of sleazeball buddies, noobs and the terminally stupid. Everyone knows you're a looney toon who can't get through the day without a fistfull of meds for your numerous mental and physical ailments. It looks like the weekly trips to the shrink don't work either. You have publicy stated you will endorse any sponsor and say what they want for the right price. You're ethically challenged, ..... and weren't you recently arrested? Probably wasn't the first time, I bet.

I could go on, but a loser like you isn't worth my time. You deserve to be on everyone's ignore list.

So with all due respect.... Go fuck yourself!

Wasn't aware of that either. However, I did notice sales linking track codes in the URL's now.

SmokeyTheBear 07-15-2007 12:23 PM

for the record i dont know anyone at webair personally , have never been paid a dime nor have i ever dropped a webair ref code.

i host with alot of hosts. webair has always been good to me , never had any problems at all.

now keep in mind , its hard to speak of their customer service if you never need it , so i do understand that people could have other issues that i am not aware of because i haven't needed their support in over 2 years hosted with them..
