A few years ago I was working in Ohio for a company we won't name just now, it's not relevant. During the course of that I met his mother.

She's a very nice lady and we hit it off. For 5 months we dated and I had no complaints. She had a nice car. She cooked. She cleaned. She took it in the pooper with a smile.

Anyway. Eventually, I had to come back to Indiana and since she had her roots in Buckeye land and I'm a diehard Hoosier we just let it go.

Greg never quite got over me leaving. He missed our Sunday trips to the comic shop and Chucky Cheese like any latchkey kid would.

I tried on MANY occasions to explain things to him but he had never had an "anchor" before me and he never got over the loss of finding one then losing it.

This is true, I can vouch for the story. I owned an ice cream shop in Ohio that they frequented. I served them ice cream on many occasions, even the times Greg would have a temper tantrum because he wanted a waffle cone instead of a cup.
