Canadians can now mention bombs, guns at airports
Quote:
Airports in the state meanwhile, still have no sense of humor....although it's understandable why... |
In heathrow they sure fucking go overboard, too.
|
I can understand that you don't want to mess around with issues like blowing people up, but that law was doing more harm than good, although I'm not sure of how many people actually got screwed by it. Anyone know of anyone who did?
|
I joked about something being explosive at the ft laud airport once. I won't be doing that again.
|
Seriously, are some people just missing that little guy that should tell them, "Don't make jokes about bombs and guns in airports." ??
I don't see the big deal. You know not to do it and we SHOULD understand why. Granted, someone WITH a bomb or a gun probably ISN'T going to say anything, but still. |

Idle chit-chat while in line to board a plane like
"Man I was so bombed last night..." "You should have seen the explosive situation in the boardroom yesterday..." "Ever have one of those days where your good intentions blow up in your face?" should not be getting anyone in trouble. Only a pack of overzealous idiots would arrest someone for this, something that anyone might say without thinking or meaning any harm. The same goes for the makers of such zero-tolerance laws. Nice to see my country exercising some common sense about it. |

I was thinking more along the lines of, "Be careful when you open up THAT suitcase 'cause it may blow up." That SHOULD be cause for someone to be arrested imo. If for no other reason than they're so stupid, they shouldn't be roaming the streets by themselves. |
saying something like that would be stupid if you're in a airport..

I don't see why it's a big deal anyways? Couldn't do it before and everyone got by just fine, why would it matter now?
|
What's the problem with "Hi Jack!"??
|
Besides, it's Canada. Nobody takes them seriously anyways.
