What is the best way to copy the mini-dv tapes?
I have over 100 to copy and wondered what the best way to do it was. I also have the AVI files on the computer and could just put them on the tapes. Any ideas how to do it the best way and not take any quality from it?

I uasually capture them with sony vegas or premiere pro and export them back to tape.
Hardly no loss in quality when comparing the file sizes, maybe less then 1% We no longer do this as Mini DV isnt good for long term archiving, so we archive the AVI's to Harddrive now. |
Agreed. Archiving to HD in highest quality is often cited as industry standard. HD's are very inexpensive these days. Going tape to tape will put some mileage on your heads. if you must go that route, outsource that project for sure.
