Help with MPEG movies?
When I compile a movie using MPEG-1, I have problems viewing it from my server.
Specifically...the movie is about 250mb. It runs for about 16 minutes. When I click on the link to open the movie, the Windows Media Player shows the movie as only 6 minutes long. And...yeah...it only runs for about 6 minutes then quits. I don't have the same problem when viewing the same movie in WMV format. I can't be the only guy on the planet that has seen this problem. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? |
Hi There,
I'm not sure I can tell you exactly what's going on, I just know MPG files are not the standard for the Web, especially large files like you're talking about. I would go with WMVs if you want to post large files to the Web. Kesey Seven www.webelez.com |
I have read that also...it's just that a lot of sites are doing it and the videos run just fine. I'm stubborn and want to figure out what is wrong. I've seen some very, very high quality MPEG vids of similar size from sites like Met-Art and I want to be able to do the same thing on my site.

Try googling, the best way to learn!!
