SilkyJohnson 07-12-2007 02:19 PM

:1orglaughI learned my lesson in that area...never piss/shit and talk on the phone, it's an accident waiting to happen. I dropped my phone in the toilet while talking on it (drunk as shit) and went in after in...not cool. I let it dry out and sanitized the shit out of it and it worked...the display was fucked but i could make calls. Hope you bought insurance for that shit!

Jman 07-12-2007 02:22 PM

At least it wasn't in Cheese and Brocolie Soupe ;-)

directfiesta 07-12-2007 02:23 PM

that's shitty ....

justsexxx 07-12-2007 02:25 PM

Why the hype about the Iphone? I understood it doesn't even have UMTS and HDSPA

needlive 07-12-2007 02:26 PM

That's bad, hope it will work again.

Btw I've always been afraid of seeing my phone end in there.

Get a large tupperware containter and fill it full of rice. Push your iphone deep into the rice and cover. Leave there for a couple days. Believe it or not, there is a 90% chance that your phone will work again after that.

The rice absorbs all of the moisture and is the safest way to do it. Don't put it into an oven like I've hear other people doing.

Tupperware and rice and your phone will be working again. It works on regular cellphones and ipods so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work on an iphone. :2 cents:

P.S. since it fell into your toilet I wouldn't suggest eating the rice afterwards. :winkwink:

Kevin Cunningham 07-12-2007 02:30 PM

lol, how did that happen man?

_Richard_ 07-12-2007 02:30 PM

u-Bob 07-12-2007 02:38 PM

Flynn 07-12-2007 02:41 PM

Just blowdry it until there is no moisture present and return it to the store.

ry0t 07-12-2007 03:55 PM

I know you may be joking about having an iphone but if it's true then I see you going through more phones than a crack hoe goes through blowjobs.

No where is going to cover water damage unless there's some sort of extra coverage.

Well, drying it out and playing dumb on why it's not running might work :thumbsup

Spunky 07-12-2007 04:46 PM

If I'm not mistaken, they can tell if it's been dropped in water..something like a piece of paper that turns to color if it detects moisture is hidden inside

Ah, didn't know that. I haven't dropped a phone into the water (then again, I've also never worn dishwashing gloves :winkwink:).

I've dropped many phones on the ground and the puppy chewed up my Razr but except for superficial wounds, they still all worked.

Bell 07-12-2007 04:52 PM

bummer...

sorry to hear that...

dry it quick - like have a fan blow on it...

I guess it's a good excuse to get a NEW one... (smile)

I'm like " i think i would know if i dropped the phone in the water", he didnt buy it

SmokeyTheBear 07-12-2007 05:05 PM

btw juicy they make these little tablets you can seal the phone inside a jar with them overnight , they will dry it out as much as possible ( or rice as someone suggested )

LOL To funny!

bronco67 07-12-2007 07:14 PM

Was it a number 1 or 2?

sortie 07-12-2007 07:21 PM

Try the rice thing but what worked for me was submerging the phone in 90% rubbing alcohol for 30 minutes. Then let stand for 24 hours.
The alcohol removes the water and then evaporates.

I tried that after letting it air dry for a week with no success. After the alcohol it worked fine except the ear speaker lost some volume.

TripleXPrint 07-12-2007 09:28 PM

Anyone else curious as to why Juicy had dishwashing gloves in his place?!?! :error

Maybe he used it when he was giving handjobs to Izzy? How is Izzo by the way? Haven't seen him around since he got hitched but then again, I lurk on occasion and post even less so I may have missed his posts.

CDSmith 07-12-2007 09:39 PM

Did you stick your head in the toilet, turn on the phone and say

"Can you hear me now?"

? :D

Jarmusch 07-12-2007 09:51 PM

Did it fell out of your ass?

You were using the glove for anal fisting, weren't you?

Red Ezra 07-13-2007 02:16 AM

I always have that fear of my electronics - bummer
