The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has alleged that Google has engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct and has launched legal proceedings against Google.

will be interesting to see how this unfolds and if it was google or an adwords customer who placed the keywords and if it makes an impact on google adwords policy

Google will win no problem. Can't believe they would even try to bring that dumb shit to court

And they make too much money out of the fuel companies to take them on whether it's an election year or not :winkwink:

So you feel you should be allowed to steal would be customers away from a business by advertising with their name and sending visitors to your product instead?

The ACCC by itself doesn't seem to be of much use, but this case could be the precursor to something larger.

Give it a few years and we'll end up with a 20 page contract that has to be signed and notarised before each new keyword is permitted to be displayed......... :winkwink:
