Question about SERPS
 

ya know i have always wondered this.. i am sure it is something as simple as a text link or so

but how often do you have your sponsor tracking url come up in the serps for sponsors terms?

i found one the other day and was just curious

Well, it's about links but alot more about luck. There are loads of people using them, it's all duplicate content and which one google picks to list (if at all) depends on many factors.

It almost always works with search engine friendly links only, it helps alot to be the first one to strongly link to a completely new site, but 75% are luck.

There are ways that make it more likely, but often it's only temporary anyway. A nice side effect, but nothing more.
