There is not much more to tell lol. It was mostly quiet dialog and what you thought was the final scene before the finally was the finally. Needless to say there was a huge lack of special effects and action scenes :disgust

Shey 07-10-2007 07:39 PM

I actually knew it wasn't going to be all that great, it was the worst book of the series. The book was all about how Umbridge sucked and it draaaaged that on for a whole damn book. If the movie is better than the book, and I can't imagine it being worse, then I'll spend the 3 bucks to go see it (I live in the Philippines :winkwink:).:2 cents:

SilentKnight 07-10-2007 07:42 PM

I thought Harry Potter was aimed at an audience hovering around puberty.

MissMina 07-10-2007 07:51 PM

Hmm looked pretty good from the trailers and the sequels did too. Never disappointed. We'll see. Going to see it this weekend.

Post back after you seen it and let me know what you thought of it please...

pornguy 07-10-2007 08:05 PM

Going to see it here. 2.60 for me. :)

D 07-10-2007 08:08 PM

It's not aimed for any age group. Stephen King is a huge fan.

I'm sure I'll catch the at some point inside the next couple weeks.

The book was pretty much a set-up for the finale in the 7th... and being as the book's delivered on the 21st, I'll want to refresh via the movie before hitting the book.

Great timing in marketing with the Harry Potter Series.

Sarah_Jayne 07-11-2007 04:05 AM

I am seeing it on Saturday so will make up my mind then. I haven't read the books and I have liked some of the films better than other but overall they are enjoyable enough.

If they're male I would assume most just want to see how much bigger Hermione's tits got.

Yeah. I still don't get how adults are so into this shit...

MaDalton 07-11-2007 06:36 AM

i don't want to see the movie, all the movies before sucked. the books are really complex and you can put that into 2 hours. without having read the books the movies make no sense :2 cents:

drjones 07-11-2007 06:55 AM

I thought it was the best of the harry potter movies... but I've never read the books or been a big fan.

My girlfriend (a writer, and *loves* the books) liked it, but she still had mixed feelings about some of the stuff they left out and changed.

pornvue 07-11-2007 08:00 AM

Not surprised...the book is indeed the least of my fave. The only interesting i want to see here is the scene on Harry and Voldemort. Would see it in the theaters anyway, Im a huge Harry Potter fan...although its quite different in the movies

candyflip 07-11-2007 09:19 AM

I got tickets to see it tomorrow night in 3D at the IMAX. Not even going to attempt to go see it today.

Please post and let us know if the 3D is worth it. I'm currently debating between the local theater and the one that's half an hour drive but has Imax.

Will do. I always see the IMAX option if the movies I want to see offer it.

Jace 07-11-2007 10:30 AM

i will have to see for myself, this was actually my favorite of all the books...very dark and deep

for those that said something about a certain age group, no way, these books are NOT for young kids....shit, even I, as a pretty avid reader, found some parts of the books to be pretty complex and adult oriented

SykkBoy 07-11-2007 11:31 AM

It was a pretty decent book and I've liked the other movies, so will still check it out, but will probably be next weekend after vacation :)

Slick 07-11-2007 11:54 AM

Rotten Tomatoes is already giving it a decent score, 77% from critics and 89% from users.

Big_D 07-11-2007 11:59 AM

downloading it now...

Brother Bilo 07-11-2007 11:59 AM

I saw most of one of the harry potter movies and I thought it was retarded. I just don't get how this whole story took off the way it did.

sniperwolf 07-11-2007 12:00 PM

i'll say... i must see this movie!:1orglaugh

Same here

MissMina 07-11-2007 01:21 PM

I like it because of the fantasy and the special effects. I feel like a kid in fantasy land when I watch it. Nice to revert back to childhood every now and again :)

Th!nk 07-11-2007 02:02 PM

well, I'm scheduled to see it this Saturday...let's see then.

madawgz 07-11-2007 02:09 PM

wow, tons of harry potter fans, so unexpected

tranza 07-11-2007 02:17 PM

That's what I plan on doing....

The Ghost 07-11-2007 02:21 PM

Just watched it and it's worth the price of the ticket. Not the best of the series but it was entertaining.

kapopoy 07-11-2007 05:29 PM

still transformer the best for me and i'm bit agree with this: Save your money folks and wait for the dvd

shekinah 07-11-2007 06:04 PM

I don't want to lose hope on this.. I love Harry ever since, will check it this weekend!:D

Vendzilla 07-11-2007 06:23 PM

My daughter is a huge fan of the books and movies, so I got caught up in it, what I like most is the detail they put in the story, you have to pay attention or you'll miss something

phasic 07-11-2007 06:25 PM

Dmn what a disappointment, oh well was going to wait for DVD anyway, I dont even think I saw the last one, not a fan.

candyflip 07-11-2007 06:35 PM

There were 3000 people waiting to get into the midnight show last night here in Rochester.

msan 07-11-2007 07:14 PM

I watched it on IMAX, I loved it! Especially the 20 minute 3D part of the movie. In fact it's better than the previous films. I don't know for some people, either they'll love it or hate it.
