Looking for hosting (green webmasters read this).

Ok, so I was looking for hosting for the art gallery that I own.

The new site for it is almost done, and I thought it'd be a GREAT marketing angle to host with a "Green" data center. I figured rich artsy's would be attracted to that, and it would help create a great feel for the type of company the gallery is (i are marketing gawd).

LAWDS MERCY CRIPE MIGHTY HEAVEN'S TO BETSY!

Wanna know how much for a dedicated box?

Check this shit out NO JOKE!

Disk Space
Each server starts with up to 40GB of drive space and can be expanded easily as necessary. Space can be expanded with a single reboot and is available for a nominal monthly cost.

Cost
Monthly cost for 1 server is $350.00 per month which includes 200GB of monthly bandwidth.
One time $200 setup fee
Additional monthly bandwidth is billed at $4.00 per GB
Fuck Jesus Christ in the ass what in the hell are they thinking?!?!?!??!

I have all of my adult stuff hosted at WebAir and love them long time.
I think my art gallery is going to love them long time too.

Cripe. How in the hell do these "green" data centers stay in business?

maybe " green " makes them think they can fuck people in the brown ...

a lot of hosting companies just kept the prices of the 2000 ....

I just upgraded 5 accounts ( dedi ) to brand new boxes, stronger CPU, more memory and HD without them asking..... I keep my clients this way.

Here's some quotes:

Quote:

Our data center and main office is powered by 120 solar panels which generate our electricity. A solar energy specialist recently installed our grid of solar panels from the roof of our old location to our new location using a ground mount system. This grid is owned and operated to power California's first and only solar-powered hosting company. We are also the first and only 100% completely solar powered hosting company that does not use energy credits, and our solar panels not only power our offices but the data center and servers. According to BP Solar, our solar panel system will eliminate the production of: 19,890 pounds of Carbon Dioxide (CO2/GHG) per year, 5.9 pounds of Nitrous Oxide (NOX/smog) per year, and 0.45 pounds of Sulfur Dioxide (SO4/acid rain) per year. This is the equivalent of planting 3.5 acres of trees per year or driving a vehicle for 24,671 miles (9.7 times from LA to NY) per year.

Data Center
Our data center is environmentally friendly in design. It is completely steel framed with no wood at all except for the door frames on the interior of the building. Our walls are over 12 inches thick and filled with insulation that has recycled content. We built our data center, network and servers from the start to use the lowest amount of energy possible using the latest green design techniques, no other hosting company can do what we do without starting from scratch. We use solar tubes to bring in natural sunlight which eliminates the use for conventional lighting during the day. Our cooling systems are water cooled which reduces the amount of electricity because of the unique setup.

We are in the process of designing a green roof for our data center. The green roof is a layer of dirt 3 to 4 inches thick with drought resistant plants. The new green roof will reduce our cooling and heating requirements by over 50%.
