    I guess it kind of figures

    I finally break down and apply for a passport, pay the additional money for an "expedited" process, and the State Dept gets so backed up they can't give it to me within the month I paid for.

    I wonder if they are offering refunds.

                                  Can you still get same day service at the Passport center? I remember getting mine the same day, though it was pre 9/11.
