What's yours - just realized that I have one that is averaging over $22 / day - while its not mind breaking - for being parked and absolutely no maintenance - its certainly nothing to cry about :thumbsup

Of course. Even if it was $22 a YEAR and you only paid $10 for it you doubled your money. That's over 100% profit. That's good. Hell Wal-Mart makes about 4% profit.

why do you assume that he got it for registration cost?

not counting the pioneers - most "domain guys" spend usually thousands of dollars for such domains

if domain is making $22 daily, he probably paid like $10k+ for it

that's still good biz, but it's hardly being lucky

some people are submitting galleries, others are finding domains, buying them and parking... the second is better cause it requires less work, but that's it... other than that, it's just a business, and it doesnt have much to do with being lucky and registering for 7 bucks a domain that is suddenly going to earn $22 per day

most people seem to think that it's just luck and suddenly someone without a clue buys a domain for 7 bucks and then realizes it makes $22 daily

and fact is there it a LOT of competition of guys who don't do anything else in their lives than emailing domain owners and trying to get their typein domains

i make some money with parking as well but if anyone says im lucky, it just makes me mad.. i tried very hard to buy every premium domain that i own

lucky are the guys like webfather who entered the biz 10 years ago

anyway, no point in getting into such a debate

every time i see a parked domain (from an url i typed in) my heart cries...
such a waste....

I make just enough in a year with my parked domains to cover the cost of renewing all my domains.
About half of my 122 domains are parked with parked.com

Most of my parked domains are kinda stupid, and I dont really know why I bought most of them. but I make ~1400 a year total off them.
I think ~60 cents a day is my largest, and I have several that hardly make 10 cents a week.
