Anyone have a Video Ipod?
 

I've been thinking of getting one and everyone says they are great, but how are they compared to other video/music devices like archos? (http://www.archos.com)

Ive been using my phone (tmobile MDA) to play music, but its been letting me down more and more recently. I added a 2gb card but the phone keeps freezing or just stops playing music.

Any thoughts? Is there any new version of the video ipod coming out soon that supports a better resolution or has the ability to play back on a TV?

Yeah u should pick one up its a nice device.

I was just reading rumors about there being a 4" widescreen bluetooth model coming out soon. However, I use bluetooth headphones for my phone but they are kind of heavy, so thats not a deal breaker for me.

i think i might head down to the apple store and pick one up.

I'm practically anti-Mac, and I hate everything they stand for, but the ipod is one of the best devices I've ever owned. My 30GB video was my 3rd ipod, and my tech-savvy buddy would brag about his archos player and it's huge screen.

But the whole beauty of the ipod for me is, I can slip it in my front pants pocket. Try putting something with a 5 inch screen in your pocket.

You can play all video ipods on a tv with the proper cable, but it is far from high def.
However, it works great playing through the aux on the dvd player in my car - it is pretty good quality on a small screen.

Love mine! Only thing is I have the 30GB and now I wish I would have gone for the 80GB....oh well give me a reason to upgrade down the road. Would be nice to see a bigger screen on the new generations.

I used to have one, but now im rocking a ZUNE.. <33 The way you rotate the screen for video's is way different.. very clean aswell, and I bought the color brown. Nifty
