How many of you pay yourself first

I know many of us are making a shit load of money because you know the whole sex sells,

but how many of us pay ourself first. sometimes you would think you don't have to because of how seemly quick the money rolls in the bank accounts and mail boxes.

I do just because it just makes perfect sense to build up that retirement fund as big and fast as possible with as many zeros and commas as I can see.

What are you paying into?

I don't like the saying "pay yourself first", I think people confuse it with what it really means.

Never write a check that your ass can't cash... :2 cents:

If you don't take care of yourself and your own business first, it won't matter what good intentions you have, you won't be able to pay anyone else if your business goes under.

Personally, I put off projects until I have a guaranteed budget for them, rather than bet that I can pay people on the backend based soley on projections. That way everyone is always guaranteed of being paid what is owed to them on time.

It's a conservative approach, but it has served me well, and helped me build a good reputation as a person/company to do business with.
